ok, i like this guy, and hes completely not my type. i dont know what to do.i mean im not shallow or anything. but i started to like him a while back, and i tried so hard to not like him. i really did, but you cant change who you like, right? i mean, hes really not my type.hes the kind of guy me and my friends despise. and then i fall in like with him??i told my best friend that i couldnt help it. but shes like always making fun of me now and telling me all the bad in him. i dont really know him, and i know hes got a kind of a reputation as a player, and believe me, thats the last person i would want to be involved with, but i just cant stop thinking about him. i try so hard but he just keeps crossing my mind!!what should i do?about my friend? and about me liking this guy?please?

well sometrimes best gfriends can be jealous of wut u can reciecve or about to earn and u got o make sure she got a strong facts not childlish facts iif they make scence than roll with it if it don`t than u check him out and leave it alone to see if she will roll on to him ..but u highly doubt that right??? because that ur best friend she`ll never do that! just be careful and check him and her!
tipp: ex: not every guy u meet from the outside image he may look cocky and thug looking..but realli hes a sweet heart/

It sounds to me that your best friend may be trying to give you some advice in a less-than-ideal way. I've found that a lot of times, if someone starts telling me all the bad stuff about a guy, a decision I've made, etc., it makes me want to ignore any good advice that may actually be there. However, my advice is to not dismiss WHAT your friend is saying just because of HOW she's saying it. If she is your best friend, she knows you pretty well, perhaps even better than you might think she does. If you are HER best friend, trust that she does have your best interest at heart. My best friend ignored my advice that the guy she liked was crude and slimy. Granted, I could have said it better, but he turned out to be a child molester. In turn, I ignored her advice that a guy I liked seemed too good to be true...and he was. Turned out to be an alcoholic sociopath who really did some damage to me on a lot of levels. My point is, your friend is quite possibly seeing something in this guy that would not be good for you. Have you tried talking to a few girls in this guy's past to find out why he's not in their present or future? Hey, he could turn out to be perfect for you...just don't be afraid to listen to others.

A best friend knows you the best and probably knows whats best for you. If they disaprove then maybe it isnt sucha great idea. Of course ou cant change how you feel about them. If he is a person who currupt you then thats not a turn on.

Get to know this guy a little more before you actually have him as an actual friend. Ask him if he is doing drugs or doing alcohal. If he doesn't do anything danger or serving time (jail type wise), then he is a good friend. Sometimes it is best to listen to friends because your friends know you more than some complete stranger (this guy you know little of).

Well I've been in that situation be4 also. But he liked me but I didnt beleive him so I flirted back and i thought that he really did like me whatev so I fckd him and the next day he broke wit me. SO what im tryin 2 say is that I kno that u like him whatev and when he finds out dont let him sweet talk u especially if u kno that he has a rep. of bein a playa.

I answered your latest question as well.. and i still think you should take your time and get to know him first... about your friend tell her that you really dont like the way shes talking about it and that you wish she would respect your choice... after all its your life not hers and you should do what makes you happy rather than trying to make it fit for her... let her know that your thankful to have a concered friend and that you will take her advice into consideration but its not up to her to make your life for you :) good luck

Well, if you like the guy, it shouldn't matter what your friends say. You've got to remember that when it comes to relationships with guys, it's your decision on who you date, nobody else's. Trust your friends judgement because she probably has your best interest at heart, but you have the final say in it.

Follow your heart if their really your friends they'll accept your decision they may not like it but they should accept it in time.
Also if he's really got a reputation as a player you should try to know him a little better so that you know what your getting into.

Get to know him before you pass judgement. and as for your friend... this is one of the rare times that you may want to ignore her advice. take a chance with the guy... there must be a reason you're attracted to him right? as long as you are careful i dont see a reason why you shouldnt give it a shot! ;)
