Ok, so, my friends and family all keep telling me that pork is "the other white meat". I read something that said it was and something that said it wasn't. Does anyone know the truth behind this myth?

"the other white meat" is an advertising slogan for the pork industry. It ignores the idea that some cuts of pork aren't really what you would call "white meat".

Well by logic it's not red meat. If you look at a pork chop and a chicken breast in their raw state, they look pretty much the same color.
Having said that, pork in no way tastes like chicken, however a lot of cuts are very lean. Luckily unlike chicken you do not have to cook pork all the way through. You can actually have it a little bit pink.

It's just an advertising slogan, and doesn't mean anything in particular. Some cuts of pork are very mildly flavored and light in color. Others are less so.
In general, Pork is lower in fat and cholesterol than Beef and Lamb, so it could be considered a "white meat", if by "white meat" you mean "low in cholesterol". Skinless Chicken breast meat and fish are generally even lower in fat than even lean pork, though.

trying to say its like chicken is like saying dog is a cat pork is pig and they dont have sweat glands so all the poisons they eat stay in them their entire life about a year hopefully you'll eat only the lean or drained of oil parts

regardless of all blend of solutions above, beef is beef. confident approximately it. chicken refers to meat like chicken, turkey, fish. beef refers to meat like beef. this is a literal which ability.
