Do these conservatives convince you to change your mind?
"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."
James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."
Russell E. Train, Republican, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford
"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."
John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona

We have never understood the conservative obsession with "debunking" the science behind global warming. Most conservatives seem rather embarrassed by the anti-evolution wing of their movement that peddles intelligent design. This pseudo-science crowd is for the most part locked in the attic of intellectual conservatism, rarely allowed downstairs to soil the pages of the more respectable journals...."

David Brooks?
"I used to be very suspicious about [global warming]," said Brooks, "but I spent my life getting a C in science classes. [The scientists are] all in agreement now so I've got to defer to their collective judgment." Brooks went on to say that the debate about the existence of global warming had "ended," and now the debate was over what "you do about it."

The whole liberal-conservative thing is just a method the terrorists use to set good, hard-working Americans against one another. There have been conservatives against some of George Bush's policies and liberals against Kerry. Not all liberals like Al Gore. What they need to do is put a moderate in office or an Independent.

It would mean the liberals have been found out for what they really are. Anti-American bigots that want everything for nothing, and would ruin or destroy everything good and important about this country to get it all, or whatever their sick minds think all might be.
But the NY slimes will not do what you said because they are them. I'm just glad that 'them' doesn't include the majority of Americans who believe in right, not wrong, and truth, not 'politically correct', which isn't anything near correct, and honor, which the liberals have none, and respect, which no liberal has ever deserved. I'm glad I am NOT one of 'them'.

I think that they would show that warming does occur in cities like New York due to asphalt and that other rural areas are actually cooling.

I would take it more seriously than if a conservative paper said the same things.
