Ok this isn't a real R&S question to most of you but it can be.

I would vote Trek because the plot doesn't involve yelling "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
-Darth Vader Episode 3

Although the saying "ENGAGE!"-Picard
is pretty lame too

Kirk is the man! followed by the doctor from Voyager.

Don't forget we made an I-Mod in Elite Force, Borg Scum!!!!

(Video Game)

and surprisingly never used ever in the series.

Kirk is, as you say, The Man - and the combination of Kirk and Picard paint a fantastic picture of the Universe that many people would like to see played out in real life, I think (so I can see the R& S in this question). The problem for me with Star Wars is it doesn't give a feeling of what the rest of us will be doing. Star Trek does - we will live long and prosper. I will choose Trek every time.

Peace!

Hmmm, let's see if I can put this into an R&S context in honor of Star Trek day....

Star Wars talks about the force being with you. Those that stray off from the good side of the force can forever go down a bad path. So, the moral of Star Wars is clear. The force is there to help you become your best. Follow the teachings of peace, and love and you will not stray, young man.

However, in terms of Star Trek, Data was one of my favorites. Because he wanted to explore what the other world was like. In other words, although a machine, he showed compassion to humanity. Picard also showed his compassion in his diplomacy skills.

But if I do have to choose I'll take Star Trek Next Generation.

I also vote for a Stargate day!!

I enjoy all the Star Treks, all the Star Wars, and also Stargate SG - 1. Do not care for Stargate Atlantis much. My nine year old son likes to watch heroes.

O.K. - R & S people, is this Star Trek appreciation week, or Star Wars appreciation week ?

I have seen in my 30 minutes of time today on Yahoo R & S section, mostly Star Trek
speech, not much in the area of Star Wars talk.

How about making next week Star Wars appreciation week, and then the week after
Stargate SG - 1 appreciation week. This season coming up in mid-april is the last season of Stargate SG - 1

Thank You for giving me the opportunity to answer your excellent R & S question.
Have a Great Week, and coming weekend.
And this was the best R & S question I have seen as of yet today.

Star Trek rules especially DS-9.

They both rock. Star Wars focuses more on a metaphysical universe that doesn't require exploration, while Gene Roddenberry wanted Star Trek to be something akin to a western-style adventure in space. The scientific "new frontier," if you will. In fact, Star Trek's working title was "Wagon Train to the Stars."

Between those two, I'd have to take Star Trek, but I really like the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis series.

For cripe sakes, STAR WARS!!!! Star TRECK almost put me to sleep. Star Wars is full of jam-packed adventure, drama, and thrill. It makes you believe. George Lucas did good on that film, man!
