How can a person call someone a Godless pagan when they don't even know the other person....I was called that today and I don't appreciate that...that person had the nerve to not even use the capital "Gg" in writing Gods name.....yes my other question is rediculous for a Christian person but so what! I'm only human and even Christians get into trouble and NEED help sometimes!! btw I liked that persons answer just not that those 2 words.

She was calling herself a godless pagan....not you. She was letting you know about herself, not calling you names.

I am SO sorry. I am apologizing for that as a Christian and I can't believe how sometimes my own brothers and sisters disobey the Bible's direct orders to love others, pray for them and minister with gentleness and not to judge. Honestly, that person just has no people skills and their strengths must lie elsewhere (not in advice or ministry).
I think that phrase is a hateful phraseology for people who don't believe Jesus is God and will get a Christian nowhere. That's what it means. It's like calling a black person the N word to me. Please don't judge the faith or Jesus' sacrifice and love for you on some stuffy Christian who has a lot of growing in the faith to do.
Good luck with all your problems.

It means that the person practices some sort or form of Paganism but is either Agnostic or Atheist and without any beliefs in any god or gods or isn't sure one way or the other. But you shouldn't pay too much mind to some of the ignorance that goes on in this forum. Some people choose to stay ignorant willfully.

First of all Godless Pagan makes no sense at all. The definition of a Pagan is:
One who follows a religion of European, North African, Asian or Pre-Columban American origin and who is not Christian, Muslim or Jewish, or who does not worship the God of Abraham exclusively.
My guess is that you should first understand the ignorance of the derogatory statement made to you. Then you can one up them by asking them what is it they are trying to say since the statement they just made was idiotic.

they're metaphors... historic thoughts for historic human beings. No, they do no longer seem to be genuine, no extra beneficial than the tooth Fairy is genuine. yet that would not make the classes got here across interior the thoughts no longer genuine. Which, i think is all they have been, ethical thoughts. i do no longer think of you will possibly be a Pagan and not have faith in any form of supernatural being (s) or acts... on condition that that's what defines "Pagan" perception in lots of god(s)... yet no longer inevitably gods as they're shown in those thoughts. i'm a pagan, yet i do no longer stick to any pantheon of gods/goddess'... i do no longer think god is "interior the rain" the two. My ideals in such issues touch on pagan techniques, yet are not specifically pagan. i grew to become into as quickly as advised by making use of a Pagan Priest, "all we did grew to become into commerce one fable for yet another, yet a minimum of our thoughts are extra exciting and don't contradict." Contradict interior the sense that a god surpassed down a regulation that asserts "do no longer homicide" and then that comparable god tells a dependable follower to kill each residing element interior the subsequent united states of america, different than the virgins.

Technically there is not such a thing. even though the pagans have their own gods, the person calling you that was referring to the "Christian" god. I'm sorry that you had to go through that, they just don't understand. And they won't understand because very few christians are religously tolerant sad to say.

Calling anyone a name with the sole purpose of hurting them or to disrespect them is not acceptable. My guess is that the other person you speak of probably disagreed with what you said but that is no excuse for disrespect. (Especially if it was coming from someone who claims to be a Christian)

It means that the person doesn't know what he's talking about, because as far as I know, all pagans believe in a God.
