Ok my wedding is going to be slightly untraditional. I have no relationship with my father so he is not coming. My mother passed away last October. First off my son is walking me down the aisle. So i was planning on dancing a song with him. Then I would like a combined dance where my fiance dances with his mom and I dance with his dad. I would like to incorporate my mom in this and her favorite singers were Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson. They have a TON of love songs but i am having a hard time picking one for this occasion. Does anyone of any suggestions on what songs would be appropriate for this type of dance???? Help please!!!

Alan Jackson has a fairly new song called "Red on a Rose". It refers to being loved like all kids love pennies and how you feel like red on a rose. It is a great love song that could totally pull together what you are trying to achieve. I am in the same situation and am most defiantly considering this song. And plus your mom would love it. Best wishes and bless you and your new family.

I was just married 1/1/07 and my dad picked out our song as a surprise. I didnt know until the music played that night what he picked, but it was "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole and I must say it was perfect. I would definatly reccomend it to anyone! I wish you the best!

Honestly, I would skip all of this, except perhaps the dance with your son. Really, all of those dances are completely optional, and it sounds as though you're just going to confuse people. Remember that most guests could care less about watching the special dances, except for the first dance.

Artist: Disney Song: Welcome Album: Brother Bear is another fun one that might work for one of thoses

Everyone's invited, this is how we live
We're all here for each other
happy to give
All we have we share
And all of us we care, so come on...

CHORUS:

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our brotherly time
We're happy giving and taking
to the friends we're making
There's nothing we won't do

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our happy to be time
This is our festival
you know and best of all
We're here to share it all

There's a bond between us
nobody can explain
It's a celebration of life
and seeing friends again
I'd be there for you
I know you'd be there for me too....
so come on

Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our brotherly
This is our festival
you know and best of all
We're here to share it all

Remembering loved ones departed
Someone dear to your heart
Finding love, planning a future
Telling stories and laughing with friends
Precious moments you'll never forget

This has to be the most beautiful
The most peaceful place
I've ever been to
It's nothing like I've ever seen before
When I think how far I've come
I can't believe it...and yet I see it
In them I see family
I see the way we used to be

Come on...

Chorus Repeat
