There's a chain of asian markets called 99 Ranch Market all over the country. The one in San Diego is located at:

7330 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
San Diego, CA 92111
(858) 974-8899

Yes. I like it. The weather is always nice and it is generally a laid back and fun town. Lots of tequilla bars, and swanky bars on hotel roof tops and all that fun stuff. Lots of people from all over the place come here so if you are new to town it is easy to make friends. I don't know what the other poster was talking about homeless living in canyons though. There are lots of homeless downtown, especially if you go towards 13th and Market Street. Anyways, it is generally safe but I am originally from Portland, OR and I felt even safer there. The only major cons are that people can tend to be superficial at times, there are lots of bad drivers, and we had major fires in October of last year.
