One thought on the whole homosexual issue. I'm not against homosexual unions. That's your issue to deal with.
Homosexuals are presented in our media as having a hidden agenda - that they are after more than equality. When heterosexuals see laws passed mandating specific rights for homosexuals, this hidden agenda idea becomes more believable.
Homosexuals are seeking same sex marriage (we have that in Canada - and it hasn't killed us). What has come up is that some homosexual organizations here are now trying to force churches to perform weddings - against the beliefs of the clergy - contrary to what the homosexual community said they would not ever do (ie: force someone to perform a marriage ceremony against their beliefs). This too leads credence to the hidden agenda conspiracy.
Government should simply stay out of the bedrooms of the country... both sides of this debate would be better off.

Why does all people consistently think that the only purpose persons are in direction of gay marriage is once you talk approximately that of the Bible, while this is certainly fake? Marriage is the term used to describe the best relationship between a guy and a females for the point of uniting a kinfolk, and supply new life into the worldwide as info of that kinfolk united. the marriage serves as a societal shape wherein to boost young ones in a mushy environment. infants with the two a mom and a father (in particular married to a minimum of one yet another) have been shown time and time as quickly as greater to be greater companies to pass to varsity, get larger grades, much less probably to work together in premarital intercourse, much less companies to be criminals and greater plenty greater probably to have sturdy relationships of their own. Marriage was once created in accordance with the organic and organic ought to procreate and that's something a gay couple can no longer do. the common requirement to get carry of a marriage license is the couple must be a guy and a females gay relationships merely do no longer meet this common requirement. you do no longer supply persons drivers license while the do no longer meet the specifications to have one, marriage works the comparable ability. utilising is a privilege now no longer a properly suited; marriage is a privilege now no longer a properly suited. Marriage heavily isn't all approximately love as this type of great style of ought to evaluate that's why divorce expenses shouldn't surprising for the reason that they do no longer understand that marriage is greater effective than love. Biologically adult women and men are specific so their relationship isn't the comparable by way of fact the relationship between 2 adult adult males or 2 females so those relationships should not be defined by ability of the comparable word. no one has the properly suited to alter the definition of a observe actual in view that they do no longer trust it. besides why could a gay couple want their relationship defined utilising a term that has certainly no longer utilized to them and does now no longer describe their relationship?

I'm not a homosexual but I do not like it when people say homosexuality is a sin. A person should have the power to pick what they want for themselves and what they feel is best.

Why DO you care if homosexuality is considered sin by the christian sector? It has no power over the unbeliever, or does it?

We also say Fire Will burn you. You should try this experiment based on your analysis of our "sin" claim that if you don't believe it, it don't exist.
So we say, fire will burn. Put your hand in the fire and hold it. If your theory is correct (whatever Christians say are just words) then nothing will happen.
Please - by all means prove me wrong. However - I warn you, NOT to put your hand in the fire to prove me wrong. You will get burned and I wont be responsible for you not exercising your better judgment.
Putting the fire scenario to the test is no different that saying Sin doesn't exist if you don't believe in it.

Well I do not care if they tell me that it is a sin.. I do not believe in the christian god or satan, nor heaven or hell.. The only thing that gets me is the fact they just keep on and on and on....But them saying it is a sin and I am going to hell, if it makes them feel better being full of hatred and bigotry then let them be...

When Christians lobby the Government to ban gay marriage or to prevent my being treated equally then I care what Christian homophobes think and I will continue to work to keep religion and state separate as much as possible.
I know not all Christians are homophobes but those who cling to an exaggeratedly homophobic interpretation of scripture as an excuse for their superstitious prejudice are a disgrace, they are un-Christian in wanting to make their religion exclusive and they are quite immoral when they constantly vilify and defame gays.

The reason that glbt people SHOULD care is because Christians vastly outnumber and outrepresent GLBT folk in government positions of power. In case you haven't noticed, there is an outright war against LGBT rights in this country ... indeed, the world. We need to care. We need to be aware. We need to dispel the lies told about us. We need to inform the rational public about the truth to negate the lies they are being fed.
Yes, we need to care. We may know that the Bible has precious little to say regarding these issues and to combat the false translations and interpretations that exist in that text. We need to be able to hold Christians accountable to the truth. They need to be held to the standards that Christ set for them.
Too, there are many LGBT Chrisians who care quite alot about what the Christian church has to say. There are many of our brothers and sisters trapped in that organization, being convinced that they are bound for nothing but hell, simply because of who they are, rather than their choices. They need to know that being GLBT does not mean that they are therefore beyond "salvation", whatever that might be.
Please, please, please .... care ... and act.

I agree with you. But I think what I hate is when people cast judgment on others for ANY reason.
Why can't people just concentrate on living their own life and stop criticizing others and take care of their own 'back yard' first.
Ps. I LOVE what Johnny says above...excellent...will have to remember that.

but you know what is different about the example you gave is, sin is sin, God loves you but he hates the sin. The person who have sex outside of a marriage convenant is no better. The person who lies and cheat and steal, is no better. But honey because you don't believe it doesn't mean it's not the Word of God. You may not know this but Heaven and Earth will pass away but God's Word will forever stand. When He says it, He means it, and no matter how much I think I'm a millionaire I'm not. No matter if you think it's right to live in homosexuality, it's not.
