We have all fallen and come short of the Glory of God. Boy does that ever apply to me. The apostle Paul says something like this...That that I would I do not and that that I would not that I do. Our flesh is weak and there is not too much we can do but stay connected to Him. The gift is totally free and the only thing you have to do is accept it. Keep studying and praying and being a blessing to those around you. This stranger shall pray for you and I need it too. Thanks Mmm

To answer your question, one of the conditions of original sin which we inherited is the inclination toward evil. This is the opposite of God. It will always be a struggle to serve God for anyone no matter who they are.

I think you are thinking this in a wrong perspective. When we are weak God is strong, and He uses His power to work in and through us. God teaches us also to be humble; since God doesn't like people to have false egos and a sense of pride; since that makes people feel like they have all the power to depend on themselves and not God.

We have an adversary (Satan), who will fight us if we serve our Lord.

If we did not serve God, Satan would not be interested in fighting us, because we would be his.
