My dog has been eating very little lately. We feed her, then she eats like 1/4 of her food, which is very unusual. She is 8 months old. Could she be starting menstration, or could she not like the food were giving her. She also is acting very different 2, she usually is frisky, and happy. But shes quiet, and always looks sad 4 some reason...

You should take her to the vet. She could have a bad case of worms, parvo, etc. There are lots of things that could be wrong with a young dog. Without more info it is hard to tell. Also, dogs do not menstrate. They go through heat cycles. I would suggest spaying her immediately if you don't know anything about heat cycles.

First dogs dont menstrate they go into heat if its a female.
I dont see why that would make a difference in her attitude. Sounds like she may be sick so a vet visit is called for just to make sure she is ok.

Those are not signs associated with a dog who is in "heat" or menstruating. Please take your dog to the veterinarian immediately!!! Anorexia (not eating), and lethargy/listlessness (acting sad) are her way of alerting you to a serious health problem. In puppies, health problems that go unresolved can be life-threatening.
Please don't delay. Get her into a vet's office for a thou rough physical examination and fecal check!

She could be going into heat for the first time. Sometimes they get mopey. If this doesn't resolve quickly, or she starts having other problems such as loose poops, vomiting, fever, etc. get her into the vet to be checked out.

What kind of food do you feed your dog? Or maybe she is having you know what; take her to the vet: thats the best answer to find out what is wrong with your dog!

Doesn't seem like she is in heat because she would be excited, it could be something else. I would have the vet check her while she is in for spaying.

first off did you recently adopt her? cuz she probly misses her family, and she probly doesnt each that much for a dog, but instead of a bunch of random guesses from strangers who think they kno the answer go see a vet, or shes pregnant

you mentioned something about "menestration". Did you not spay her?? She could be going into heat.
