honestly, you may need a paint job. a room's color can make the mood. i painted my room ecru (benjamin moore) and it transformed my room. also you may want to add accents (pillows, candles, pictures). Even your bed can add to the ambience - add a lace print bedspread or a light color comforter.

The first and foremost thing, without spending money, is that your should make sure there isn't any extra stuff lying around and making your room look cluttered. Less is more. Cleaning out the clutter will make your room feel spacious and therefore more relaxing. Also, if you can invest a little, my suggestion is paint the walls a beige or sand color, and get beige and white plain neat bedsheet set. you can make a matching comforter yourself from fabric at joanns or an upholstry store, with a beige background and a white border or vice versa, clean lines, and it will resemble a hotel. I'm sure it will make your room feel even more relaxing an luxurious. Add light curtains, a few candles, and your space will feel like a spa getaway!

well...i dont know of a way to spend NO money...but i know a way to only spend a few bucks. If you go to the dollar store and buy a few candles that would help a lot...also insence is a very soothing cheap idea. If you have a computer or anything noisy or bulky i would move it to another room. Light blues and purples are great colors. Or almost any pastel. You could also go to walmart and buy one of those soothing sound CD's for babies. I have one and it creates an entirely different enviroment in my room.

First thing to do to make your bedroom more peaceful is to make sure it is nice and neat. Remove all clutter, hang up clothing (or put away in drawers), keep on top of cleaning up (or it will pile up). If you don't have anything hanging on the walls some nice posters of peaceful scenes would be good, especially mountain scenes with lots of blues and greens. Make sure there are not many loud colors in your room, pastels are more restful, as are blues, greens, lavenders. Try to avoid red, yellow, orange. Natural woods are nice, too. Hope this helps!

Make sure to add a ceiling fan. That can be very relaxing. Sandalwood incense. Vanilla candles. Also, take a valium and a shot of Vodka before entering. Very relaxing.

The scents of lavender and chamomile are both very relaxing. Pastels are also relaxing. Try placing a few candles and playing soft music.

What is your fave color, you can work with that, that's how my room is, and put your faveorite things around in it, like I like pirates and my room has pirates in it and it makes me feel relaxed and my room shows what i am like and I love it! so try that and see how you feel, also you can all sorts of candles if you want too.

Lavender is a good relaxing scent. And any "cool colors" will help it be relaxing (so blues and blue-greens)...

the best thing to do, for free, is to declutter. having less junk in your bedroom will open it up and make it more appealing to spend time in. lavender is relaxing, as well and vanilla and sandalwood.

you should make it more relaxing by putting candle's around your room and don't use any black or dark color's because they make a person real moody.
