Go to Wal-Mart and look on the hair gel aisle. You'll find a yellow bottle that's kinda shaped like an hourglass. It's called Curls Up. Be sure to get the curl reactivator and refrizzant (it's a gel, not a spray). All you do is run a good bit of it through your wet hair. You scrunch it ONCE (any more will make it frizz). Then you let it dry naturally. It's very easy and it makes gorgeous ringlets. You should really try it.

It depends on the texture of you hair.
Here we go:
thick hair!~
BIG Rollers and black and sassy wrap creame will keep it curly for about 3 days!
silky hair!~
Curl it with a skinny, but not big hot curler, and instead of putting hairspray, put cream on the ends. Because if the ends get droopy, the entire head gets wavy. You can also put any oil or home based Vaseline ON IT and it will stay wavy!
