I met a guy last weekend who I got on quite well with, (we didnt kiss or anything, just got on well), but since then he's been texting and phoning 24/7... I wouldnt mind but I wasn't that interested in him and his friends all seem like idiots (although my friendis now seeing one of them). Would ignoring his calls and messages get rid of him??

Why not just be a little honest and say you appreciate his contacting you, but you don't have a a lot of time to pursue a relationship right now, so you won't be able to keep in touch so often.

Ignoring could make you seem rude- so I think the best thing to do in this situation would be to say something short and sweet to get him off your tail- "I think ur a rly great guy, and any girl would be lucky to have you, but I just don't feel that you are the right guy for me." Being nice to him but giving him a sign wud hopefully get the right message across to him, but at the same time not make waves w/ his friends and your friend thats dating 1 of them

Yes it would get rid of him, but give the guy more of a chance, you might regret it later if you don't. You'll be the one who feels stupid if you see him in a couple of years time with a really pretty girl and showing her the time of her life. Then you'll think: "That could have been me."

Ignoring texts = you're playing hard to get
He'll look at "no answers" as not being a No and just continue. If you're prepared to ride it out, do so.
But If you never led him on, where's the harm in just telling him you're not interested?

that might get rid of him ... i've gone that route before, but i've ended up feeling guilty about it too. i guess it depends on whether or not you'd still be hanging around him, and need to be on good terms ... for example, since one of your friends is now connected with one of his friends. if this isn't an issue, don't worry too much about seeming blunt about it. if it is (or even if it isn't) ... simply tell him that you aren't interested in him a 'more than friends' kinda way.

Unfortunately probobly not. It is tough to even politely tell a guy you don't like him. So what can you do...lie. Have one of your guy pals pick up the phone when he calls and pretend to be your boyfriend or something!!!

Why don't you ask your friend to tell him your not interested if you can't the longer you let this go on the more harder it will be to stop it.

Yes, do not add any fuel to the fire. If you respond to him at all he'll think you are interested.
