Are Long Island (NY) beaches open at night?

Would they kick you out if they found you chilling there at night? I'm planning my after prom that's why. Thanks
Any other suggestions would be welcome.

you can use the beaches at night, but there are no lifeguards on duty, so you'd be responsible for any injuries or whatever may happen

Most of the Ocean Beaches chase you off after the life guards go off duty. You will have better beach access on the Sound side, or in New Jersey.
