Grapes and raisins are also considered to be toxic.
All 3 of my dogs, drool long slobbers for bananas & pieces of apples.
One loves oranges and lemons too.
They also are 'veggie' nuts.. loving frozen right out of the
bag broccoli ( a 'cool' summer time treat)
,raw baby or whole carrots, one loves a salad ( no onions of course)

I just read a warning that a vet posted a few days ago about he dangers of grapes and raisins.
She said as little as 6 grapes can cause sever damage to the dogs renal functions and raisins even less. The poor dog she was talking about was a 80 pound lab that got into a small box of raisins and only ate 1/2 the box and soon after even though they tried their best to save him the dogs died.
So any raisins or grapes no matter what the color or if they have seeds or not are very toxic to dogs. Other fruits may be but I'm still looking into those. So for now I'd say keep the fruits away from the doggies.

Yes, it is perfectly safe for any kind of dogs to eat fruit. As long as it is not Grapes or Raisins because alcohol is bad for dogs as well as wine which is made from Grapes. But not only fruits are good for dogs. Vegstables as well are good for dogs especially for young puppies.

I had a Doberman, and that boy ate fruit like crazy. He loved apples, pears, grapes and mandarin oranges the best. The vet told me it was okay as long as we monitored him for choking issues. Other than fruit, rice, broth, and hamburger boiled in water, we just fed him a high quality dog food. He still had moments where he ate things he shouldn't of, by sneaking them. Yet, he lived to be over twelve.

Grapes/Raisins contain an unknown toxin, which can damage the kidneys. Macadamia nuts contain an unknown toxin, which can affect the digestive and nervous systems and muscle. Mushrooms can contain toxins, which may affect multiple systems in the body, cause shock, and result in death.

Oranges or any other acidic fruit because they can't digest it. Foods that are oily also aren't good.
