Absolutely, especially if they (soremuscles) affect your flexibility. The 40 is all about explosion, and if you are suffering a limited range of motion over normal, it can affect your time. For that matter, sore trunk muscles in your abdomen or back can also slow you down.

A little muscle soreness is no big deal, but if you are really blasted, you are in for a rough time.

You bet. If they're sore, they've been used heavily recently, and are still working to rebuild. They're unlikely to be ready for that hard work at their fullest peak so soon.

no, throat muscles are not connected to the legs. you should be able to speed through a 40oz with no loss

because soreness means muscles are tired and worn down.
so they'd be slightly slower and less explosive

it can effect it depending on ur body but if you stretch A LOT before, it wont be very bad
