There is this girl I like and she has been giving me signs that would suggest that maybe she liked me more than she was admitting. Anyway, we had our soph hop and she kept staring at me and winding up right next to me. I finally danced with her and she was really close to me and things got a lot better between us after that. She started IMing me and our coversations werent as ackward. But one of her good friends asked her if she liked me and she said no. What's going on?!?

Im-ing brilliant. Gives you the chance to say something, have a whole conversation - and if you are careful with your answers you can tell that someone that you were only joking. Ask away but be careful so you can retract. Don't go for the whole, "Look, do you really like me ... rubbish". A little different, "So what you upto tonight ... looking at the moon and stars thinking about me again??". You can always add the "Only playing with you ... ", if you don't get the response you want or find yourself in a difficult situation!! Good luck.

Was her good friend a girl? From a girl's point of view- guys r typically nicer than grls and sadly, a lot of times girls don't trust other girls and aren't so sure about telling other girls who they like. In other words, girls who don't want who they like getting out don't usually tell other girls lol! I have, and I know other girls that wen asked if they lyked a guy, hav said "no" even when they had. Your story about the soph hop rly makes it sound like she has a thing for you- so go for it and ask her out! You have nothing to lose- the best of luck 2 u! :-)

she probably still likes you. im sure she just didnt want her friend to know that she likes you. shes probably keeping it a secret, and then maybe once u guys start hanging out more she'll confess that she likes you. if shes stairing at you and danced w/ you at the soph hop of corse she likes you maybe she's too shy to admit it.

really depends on your age as well as to what she means. to me she likes you and also dont listen to what others say if you felt something and you to are talking fine ignor gossip as some people twist things. if she told someone she didnt like you it might be as she is unsure how you feel and doesnt want to stick herself out there admitting it when she is unsure if that makes any sense good luck...if she was winding against you she likes you he he

I think shes just shy 2 admit that she does like you.

if u like her too then take a chance and not b like other boys who just sit there and deny that they like a girl.ask her out first.boys should make the first move.she acts like that cuz she thinks u r like that or she doesn't want everyone to know that she likes u.

Stop communicating with her through friends. Talk to her yourself, in person, and tell her how you feel, in person. She'll find that much more attractive.
