my boyfriend and i were planning on moving to our own place. however, we don't know anybody there or don't have any family there. we are expecting in november. just wondering the best (and cheapest) form of childcare so both him and i can work still.

nanny? babysitter? childcare?

what is the best option? what are your stories? what have you done?

thanks for your advice

i want what is best for the baby, and im still a little hesitant on trusting a childcare/nanny/babysitter...but know we have to work...

thanks!

I stumbled on the very questions you are. What is better? Nanny>expensive, babysitter> its still a 1 on 1 situation and the child needs to be with other children for one on one interaction. So childcare is the best. Social and Health Services can give you a list of the licensed Childcare in your neighborhood. Do go interview them. Do not make an appt. just show up, that way you can see how children really are treated.
