The rapture will happen but just not before the apocalypse. I believe what you are thinking of is the pre-rapture is what most of the Christians believe in. I and some Christians believe in the post rapture like you do. And yes it is apart of the Bible. I have read it in the book of revelations. And the only way we know Christians will suffer is because of the book of revelation. The rapture will happen. Its just that the pre/mid/ or post rapture is not mentioned in the bible. But the word rapture is. Just in another term.

The Rapture IS part of the Bible! The word "rapture" doesn't appear in the bible; it comes from the Greek word "rapare" meaning "to snatch away or seize." it is used to describe the method in which the resurrection will take place. The Scripture says that "In a moment, in a TWINKLING OF AN EYE (something that will happen VERY QUICKLY like being seized or snatched away), the dead in Chrsit shall rise first. Then those who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet Him in the midway air." The Church isn't going to suffer through the Apocalyse. If they were, why would the Rapture occur BEFORE the Tribulation began?

The Bible is an interpreted text. You cannot read it without, at some level, interpreting it. The concept of the rapture is a vital component of a particular interpretation called Dispensationalism, which dates to the mid-1800's. Unfortunately, up until maybe 30 years ago (and still true to a certain extent today) virtually EVERY seminary in the United States basically taught either some form of Dispensationalism or else they taught "Liberal Theology" (which essentially ignores what the Bible SAYS and deals with the character of the person; i.e. it doesn't matter what you believe as long as we all LOVE each other). Well, to me that's a pretty bad either/or choice. But you can probably see why, given that choice, many people would choose Dispensationalism (and as a result Fundamentalism), if for no other reason than from a certain respect for the scriptures.
So once you have large numbers of pastors taught that this is a central tenet of their faith, they teach their congregants, and on and on it goes...The problem is that people just haven't been TAUGHT other ways of interpreting scripture. Fortunately that is changing...

Yes the rapture is really part of the Bible. Many true Christians will be spared but there are those that will be left here to suffer those are the Christians that weren't walking the walk
There is a rapture (1 Cor 15:51-52 and 1 Thes 4:16-17) and we, born-again Christians, will be raptured out before God's wrath commences (1 Thes 5:9), Perhaps the verses between 1 Thes 4:16 and 5:9 will help you understand the sequence of events

It is a part of the Bible--I think you're referring to the fact that the word 'rapture' does not appear in the Bible. Read 1Thess. 4 & 5. The concept of the rapture is expressed by the Biblical terms "caught up" (Gr.-harpazo ; 1 Thess. 4:17) and "gathered together" (Gr.- episunagoges ; 1 Cor. 5:4). Also "snatching away" (as in Acts 8:39, 2 Cor. 12:2-4 and Rev. 12:5.) The church will be caught up and gathered together with the Lord, prior to the 7-year tribulation. There is much more about this in the Bible-too much to write here.

Because they don't read their Bible. They just get spoon fed their gospel from a teacher or preacher. If they actually read and studied they would see it isn't there.

Yes. All will be on Earth on the Last Day. That is the time of the "Harvest". This is when Christ will separate the wheat from the "chaff". He will at this time fill His barn with the good crop and burn the weeds. This is what the Bible says.

Paul says those who persevere to the end will be saved.

P.S. The "secret Pre-Trib Rapture" was invented and originated by John Nelson Darby and he first presented and taught it at the famous "Powerscourt Conference" in the year 1832. Nothing like this was ever taught or believed by the Christian Church before the 1830s. Did the Christian religion have it wrong all those centuries prior to Darby?

I cannot give you a solid answer either way. For my part I don't think it will happen. God has only given us our lifetime to find him. The idea of 'leaving behind' all those who didn't chose the first time sounds like giving them a second chance. We got that when Jesus died for our sins. I really do believe it is only a popular notion of avoiding the trials of the end times. Sorry if you are Catholic; but in my book the rapture is just like purgatory. Both are ways of avoiding the 'hot or cold' ultimatum. However, when I read the book of Revelation, it does mention an early calling of followers. I understand how this could be considered a rapture. However, I interpreted it to mean a way of sparing the believers who would not spiritually survive the end times.

I do not go to church, nor do I belong to any particular 'religious' sect. I simply follow as God leads me. I certainly have no devine interpretation to offer on this subject. However, this is what God has shown me. For the best interpretation of the end times I would ask Him, and let Him tell you what He wants you to know.

You are somewhat correct when you say that the rapture is not part of the Bible. Let me explain. The word "rapture" is not in our english versions (or GreeK for that matter), but the teaching of the Bible is all throughout the New Testament.
When the Bible was being translated into Latin, and they got to this verse: "After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever" (1 Thessalonians 4:17), the translators ran into a problem. The Greek phrase "caught up" wouldn't translate exactly into Latin. So the translators simply used a latin equivalent---"rapaturio" which is where we get the word rapture, which means "to be caught up or snatched away."
There are many Christians who believe that the second coming of Jesus Christ will be in two phases. First He will come for believers, both living and dead, in the "rapture"; read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. In this view, the rapture—which is the transformation and catching up of all Christians, dead or alive, to meet Christ in the air—will be secret, for it will be unknown to the world of unbelievers at the time of its happening. The effect of this removal, in the absence of multitudes of people, will, of course, be evident on earth. Then, second, after a period of seven years of tribulation on earth, Christ will return to the earth together with His church, the saints who were raptured (Matthew 24:30, 2 Thessalonians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:13, Revelation 1:7). He will be victorious over His enemies and will reign on the earth for a thousand years (the millennium) together with His saints, the church. After the thousand years, living unbelievers and the wicked dead now raised to life will be judged at the great white throne judgment. They will then be cast into the lake of fire, while the saved will live forever with Christ in a new heaven and earth (Revelation, chapters 19-22).

Many other evangelical Christians believe that Christ's return and the rapture will not occur until the seven years of the tribulation have ended. As far as the latter view is concerned, the rapture will not be secret, since it will be part of Christ's visible and triumphant return to end this present evil age (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). At this point, interpreters differ as to whether there will be a literal thousand year reign of Christ on earth or whether the white throne judgment and the new heaven and earth will immediately appear.

The crucial matter is not that all Christians agree on all details of what will occur in the final events of this world's history. Some of these events and their order of occurrence have simply not been made clear in the Bible. What is important is that all Christians hold in common that Christ will ultimately return bodily, visibly, gloriously, to reign and rule with His resurrected and transformed saints forever and ever. The details of this great event will be made known in God's own time.

The word rapture is not in the english version of the Holy Bible, but 'rapare' is the latin word and it means to take away, to snatch up or to be caught up.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 describes the rapture.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

There are several places that describe the same event.
