Mirko Cro Cop vs Gabriel Gonzaga
The #2 Heavyweight in the world takes on the guy who was the #1 contender before the UFC signed Cro Cop and Randy and dropped Brandon Vera. Looks to be an exciting match as I think Gonzaga will be able to put on a fight rather than run like a scared little girl (Sanchez).
Andrei Arlovski vs. Fabricio Werdum
2 Top Ten Heavyweights in a Stiker vs Grappler (although Arlovski does have decent ground skills) with the winner definatly in title contention.
Ryoto Machida vs. Forrest Griffin
This looks like an attempt to build up Machida and ruin Forrest (will be 3rd loss in a row) or give Forrest some redemption by giving Machida his first loss in his MMA career.
Michael Bisping vs. Elvis Sinosic
Seems like the UFC is trying to build up Bisping by pitting him up against a sorry UFC veteren (1-5 UFC record).
Assuerio Silva vs. Cheick Kongo
2 big strikers, I don't know who the favorite is but I expect a KO.

Here is a link confirming that the UFC has announced this and it is true (http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=3591&zoneid=13)
UFC 70 will air April 21st, but with a time delay so it will air in the states at 9:00pm Eastern Time

I don't know where you heard this is going to be broadcast for FREE on Spike TV.
If you go to the official UFC website (ufc.tv) it shows UFC 70 as a PAY-PER-VIEW event on the 21st of April.
I'd love to see it for free, but I can't find anyplace other than you saying it IS free.
Any links online backing up what you say?
Thanks for the info.

Thanks for adding the link to where I could read more. Absolutely unbelievable that a card like this will be broadcast for FREE. I was going to order it on PPV. Looks like I'll have a house full of happy fans when it airs.
Thanks again for telling us about this!

Right now UFC 70 is tentatively going to air on Spike. Unless or course, the UFC signs a deal with HBO beforehand. It's too late for PPV, as the deadline for event coverage/hype has already passed. I think this is a sorry card apart from the heavyweight fights, and I still would have paid just to see CroCop! As for Forrest, I think this will be a true test of where he belongs. He showed he can hang with the best (Tito), but failed when the pressure was on (Jardine). But why hype up Bisping more (other than the fact the the fight will take place in the UK)? He destroyed everyone on the show and his last opponent. I'd rather see him fight Jardine or Evans. So when CroCop wins, will he get Sylvia or Couture? I heard he'll fight Couture this summer on Sherdog, but Dana White is a compulsive bullshitter, so I'm not sure.

I am. I'm curious to see what caused Mir to back out, but he hasn't been the same since his car accident, so I'm not too disappointed. All five matches should be good. I think the most underestimated fight will be Cheick Kongo, he's built like a tree and is pretty fast for his size.

Without a doubt I am pumped to see this on Spike. It was already a solid card that was worthy of PPV, but for free on Spike? That is a steal, good decision by Dana White.

Yeah I want to see it, but I am more pumped about Dana White's exibition bout against Tito Ortiz. That will be great. I will laugh my **** off if Dana wins, I know its doubtful, but it would be so dang funny.
