In response to Kennedy's request, Russ Knocke, spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C., said the department has to enforce the law and added that at least 20 percent of the immigrants snared in the raid had already received deportation orders.

"We have to enforce the law and we will continue to do so in an aggressive and sensible way," Knocke said. "Not enforcing the law is not an option."

20% already had received their deportation letters !!

When any criminal is arrested for a crime its always the children that suffer from their parents actions. While I am not without compassion, the parents created this problem by entering this nation illegally. They should not be released, the children should be with their parents when they are deported. This is another reason for the 14th amendment to be repealed or clarified to show its original intent. It was not to provide citizenship for an illegal aliens child.
All children are precious and my heart goes out to them. But it is not the fault of ICE,or the US . It is the fault of the illegal alien knowingly breaking the laws of this country.

Yes you do.
Only those coming from south of the border illegally seem to get a free ticket. Everyone else has to obey the law. Sucks, doesn't it? It could apply to any law and is never a factor for anyone else. The show "Cops" shows kids crying while their folks go off to jail all the time. Of course people have feelings towards the innocents who get caught up in this. We have feelings for the American citizens losing their jobs and then being further insulted by the propoganda that we won't do those jobs cuz we're poor trash and our jobs don't matter. We have feelings when poor people can't get medical care in a timely manner because they have such long waits. And yes, we have feelings when the children who had no choice in the matter have to be separately from their law breaking parents. It's very sad.
But yes, you do have to obey the law.

He said federal authorities already had released at least 60 suspected illegal immigrants, mostly because they needed to care for their children.
Suspected? you mean they don't know? How hard could it possibly be? and they released them????
What a crock of you know what. Just another example of how OUR government aids and abets illegal aliens.

Sorry pal, you are a US citizen. You don't get the first class treatment. You step out of line and you will be in jail and your kids will be in Foster care. Don't expect that drunken bum Kennedy to come to your rescue either.

no, you don't if you are illegal aliens, they are the ones who get away with anything........just look at how the governments and most companies are courting these people.....they make sure these illegals don't have to pay for their medical expenses or taxes, don't have to obey traffic laws, don't have to learn to speak or read English, don't have to raise their children, heck they don't even have to have a social security number to get mortgages.....

Sure seems that way! As long as I do whatever it is I do for the sake of the children.....it must mean a big exempt notice.!
