Frontline Plus can be purchased from many pet stores. It is not controlled by the FDA so you do not need a prescription. Some pet stores choose not to carry it and some do, just shop around.
Please be careful if using Advantix. it CANNOT be used on cats, and if you have a dog using Advantix that lives with a cat, the cat may be inadvertently exposed through shed hair and/or grooming which can be life threatening.

Be aware that while Frontline and Advantage is sold at "some" pet stores, wholesalers, etc it is not sold to these places by the drug company that makes them.
Merial & Bayer the companies that make Frontline and Advantage do NOT sell to anyone other then licensed vets..

Supermarkets usually only carry one type of dog items and it's usually Hartz which is crap!
It's just a matter of what they are willing to carry and if Hartz is the only pet Items they want to carry then that's it.
Advantix and Frontline are available in several other locations you just need to find the closest one to you.

For the same reason you cannot buy tylenol 3 or prozac in a grocery store, it can be harmful if used incorrectly or could cause severe reaction in some, so to ensure it is used correctly and ensure owners are aware of potential severe side effects it is dispensed by a vet or by prescription

someone told me that feeding a small amount of garlic to your dogs will get rid of fleas. i havent tried it yet but i bet that it wont help with there breath.
