my attacks my legs while i am playing my flute or when i am doing any random thing. why is this?

My cat does this 2. He thinks I'm smaller than him so he goes to pick a playful fight & he thinks I'm fun to run after 2! :)

Your cat is probably just really playful and thinks of you as a playmate or to some extent prey. My cat does this to me sometimes, especially when he was a kitten. I know it sort of hurts because of the claws and teeth so try to push your cat away gently or distract him with another toy. Mine loves stuff that hangs on strings, especially things with feathers, catnip, or bells.

Your cat is wanting your attention. It happens to me all the time. Whenever I am doing something that does not involve my cats, they will do whatever it takes to make me stop what I am doing and pet them.

you are not paying enough attention to him at that moment, cats are like that spoiled and want to be the center of attention when they want it.
