why would He want you to pleasure yourself, but shun fornication. That means everybody can get themselves off and it's fine. It's not all about the abstaining form these sins, but what it is about is the holiness and cleanliness to God. You can't be tainted and corrut and carry the Spirit of the Lord. So what He does is, He give us laws to live by so we weill know His standards of holiness. I take it you're not a child of the King, because if you were, you wouldn't have even asked that. So I guess being in the world it doesn't make sense to you. But Kingdom living it does. You are supposed t be the temple and vessel of God, you can't perfom acts like masterbation and still think you're going to house the spirit of God inside. I'll tell you this, housing the Spirit of God is more satisfying than a worthless sexual feeling.

You are basically asking if it is a sin...well, that depends on your perspective. If you take the Bible literally, then yes it is a sin. If you don't take the Bible literally then it is up for debate. You could also ask what God thinks about a backrub? Same concept....brings pleasure etc.....or eating pizza...or just about anything else.
