If they've been banging on your door for three hours, you have waited 2 hrs and 59 minutes too long with telling them (through the *closed* door!) to go away, 2 hrs and 58 minutes too long with the second request, and 2 hrs and 57 minutes too long with calling the cops. Don't just wait for them to stop!

If I wasn't tied, shackled, paralized or unconscience, about 3 minutes would be all I could stand & wonder why in the world you'ld allow it to continue past 4 minutes?
Certainly I wouldn't call the cops because they'd arrest ME for killing the neighbor!
Oh well, hope the sunrise was worth it!

I would have called the cops..but you did not really explain the situation..were you doing something to piss this neighbor off so he WOULD have to come down and bang on your door?
If not then I would definitely call my landlord and complain and not let this continue..

Do not open the door, try to see what they want first, if it's an emergency, then call 911. The police will know what to do with this kind of people, if it's recurring thing move out, it will be safer for you.

Crazy?! I'd move if there was a crazy person in my building. I don't mess with crazy. Easier to just move. Calling the police could really start some bad sh!t.

If you are renting tell your land lord. If you own the apartment give a warning to the culprit. If s/he does not stop notify the local authorities and keep records of what goes on.

Call the police. I'm pretty sure that is somehow illegal, or something. Anyways, the police can help you. And don't be afraid to call the police, just do it.

Use a chainsaw to threaten her that you will use it on him or her if they don't stop banging on the d--- door and you called on the cops already.
