sounds exactly like u pushed some cerumen (earwax) into the ear canal and has occluded part of the hearing chamber. does it sound muffled too? u either have to go to your doctor to get it flushed.. or use a home remedy like some mild salt water poured into your ear to either disolve part of the wax and to flush it out a bit.

One of two things may have happened. 1. You ruptured your eardrum or 2. You pushed earwax up against your eardrum. Were you in severe pain before the hearing loss? If not, it is probably the earwax and can be corrected by rinsing out your ear with as hot as you can stand water. Hydrogen peroxide rinse will help too. If you were in pain, don't try this - go to the doctor, you can end up with permanent hearing loss. Keep the QTips out of your ear!!

Wait a few days, if it doesn't improve go to the ENT (ear nose throat) clinic. When I clean my ears, I usually hold the q-tip close to the end so it can't go too far into my ears. Good luck!

I have to agree with the others, you either pushed some wax against your eardrum, or you could have traumatized the eardrum itself (kind of like a bruise) If this is the case, the hearing should come back as your eardrum heals. But I would check with your doctor about it just to make sure.

I agree with Rebellyn's answer.....you may have pushed earwax in your ear....you can flush it out with a home ear wax remover kit, or with hydrogen peroxide...or better yet, go see an ear doctor so he/she can remove the wax for you.

Go the the Dr and get the wax out....it maybe too deep to get out yourself..
