Have you checked with his school to see if he is happy? Also have you introduced any new foodstuffs into his diet?
With the weather being so changeable and mild this gives rise to many unsavoury viruses at the moment.
But tummy pains in a child generally mean that a child has a temperature..and yes you have glands all over your body.
Ask your Doctor to take swab tests and have him checked out for glandular fever + other childhood ailments such as streptoccoci throath ( more commonly known as Scarlet Fever). If it is this...the virus can remain present in his glands at the back of his throath and he may need to have his tonsils removed.
A swab test will give you the best results.
His immune system must be very low too at this stage so he might need a good supplement along with Vitamin C to help restore this.
Hope this helps you.
Good Luck!

Has it ever occured to you that maybe he is faking his illness ?. I know some kids do his because there are problems at school, some kid could be harrassing him and he wants to be home where his mom will look after him, and no one will tease him etc...therefore he may think well this whole illness thing is working so ill keep it up and see where it goes. You did say that the doctors don't seem to know what is wrong with him, maybe there is nothing wrong, do you know what I mean?? If you really think that he is genuinly sick then persue that and get to the bottom of the problem , he could just have a low imune system that picks up bugs really quickly. You could ask your doctor to give the flue shot that may decrease his chances of picking up infections from other kids. Good luck and please don't take it wrong way wehn I sai that he may be "faking it". It's just some times kids are affraid of telling anyone that there are problems at school that they ar being picked on.

Sounds like my sister, at least as far as the stomach symptoms go. It turned out she had Irritable Bowel Syndrome, yes, even as young as 10 years old. And like someone else said, it could be his tonsils or adenoids. Or he could have some kind of bacterial infection that needs a strong course of antibiotics. Or he could just be having a rough year and catching every bug that comes along! It doesn't sound like he is faking though, it's pretty hard to fake a fever. See a different Dr. and also consider consulting a nutritionist to make sure he's eating all the right foods.

This actually sounds as if it might be related to his tonsils;your tonsils are in place to protect you from infection - but when they become infected, you can be very ill, including the swollen glands, the stomach pains, and the high temperature. When I was a kid, tonsils were removed as soon as you turned seven; but when my own came along, they weren't doing that any more! Ask your G.P. next time if it could all be tonsils related.

Are you sure he is ill and not trying to stay away from school? It's only a suggestion but when my 8 yr old son is worried about school or someone at school, he gets stressed and that causes him to get ill or he may pretend if he is worried about going. Just make sure that it is illness, as it may well be, also i would get a second opinion too with another doctor. Ask his teacher what he is like at school, if it is school you may get to the source and if not and he is trying to stay off you may well get that reason too. Good luck. xx

Is he under any stress at home or school?
If not, try boosting his immune system by making sure his diet is OK and giving vitamin supplements.
Has he recently had a viral illness? Glandular fever type? This can recur time and time again.

I'd consider taking him in for a second opinion. I've never heard of "swollen glands in the stomach" either! He could have irritable bowel syndrome...

in case you have already got a snake you ought to not get a rat. in case you do the heady scent of the rat ought to get on you and your outfits it ought to confuse your snake and reason it to chew you. A chew from a snake isn't friendly, a chew from a burmese is fairly risky as they gained't purely chew yet will constrict too. they are in a position to kill a human! Corn snakes are extremely uncomplicated to preserve whilst in comparison with a burmese, so i'd recommend the corn snake.

Stress can bring on all sorts of weird and wonderful symptoms, if it isn't this, maybe some immune boosting vitamins.
If you are unduly worried - take him back to his doctor or another one if you aren't getting anywhere.
