This is my first time paying taxes, because this is my first time having a job with a paycheck. The only other jobs I had were just volunteer jobs. So if you could help me with some good information, then it's very much appreciated. Also, when is the deadline to pay your taxes? I know it's April, just don't know what day.

Thanks and thanks again.

The deadline is April 17 - they have to be postmarked by then if you mail them, or efiled.

If you just have a W-2 form from an employer, you could use a form 1040EZ - you can download a copy at irs.gov

It's pretty easy, and you can probably do it by yourself. If you have anything more complicated, talk to a friend or relative who has done them before.

For beginners, I would recommend H&R Block and their personal tax service. Using their Tax Cut software would be later after you know a thing or two. You also get to take advantage of their audit protection as well as legal department's protection should the government come after you due to a mistake on your taxes.

After you pay your tax expenses, go to the below site to get your tax expenses back. I discovered this site this year, filled out the necessary information, and got a check for all of my H&R block tax expenses.
