Why exactly does this occur? It's always perplexed me.

Actually, this is because the oil on your skin known as sebum washes away, and your skin absorbs water. Sebum is a waterproof oil that makes water bead off our skin, but if you are in water for a long time the sebum is washed off. Your skin absorbs a little water and swells in some areas, especially the fingers and toes, making you appear wrinkly!

Iv'e always wondered that too! I'm guessing because your skin soaks up alot of water!

Your fingers are actually getting bigger. There absorbing water. But not evenly thats why they turn wrinkley.

i dunno, yet i've got been given the comparable situation... i wish i knew that one too. if im interior the bathtub for an hour, it gets so undesirable it certainly hurts as quickly as I placed tension on my hands n feeet. it gets authentic undesirable w me each and every now and then. i wish i knew the respond too...
