Yes, because public schools must maintain the local community standards.
This is a public safety issue because schools are considered public spaces.
Moreover, students have very limited rights in public schools for the reason mentioned above.

I think that now days they are almost necessary. Kids are doing drugs younger and younger...I knew someone who only last year in high school was selling joints, a drug dog would totally help in things like that. Children feel peer pressure like you would not believe, and it is wrong not to protect those we should. And the kids who are doing the drugs and selling them in school need help just as badly as the weak ones who could be duped into trying things because it is "cool"

ya they should be allowed so that the school is safe from any harmful drugs that is hidden by students or outsiders. And plus the dogs are good to keep intruders into the school which can bring in alot of trouble to the school.

Yes to stop drugs from getting brought into school. Drugs are illegal. The government should arrest any and all that use them. And kids are even more important. If you can break the drug habit while they are still young then we won't have 40 year old druggies.

yes: catches illegal drugs, might be able to find source and stop the drug dealer, jails lawbreakers
no: kids get in trouble for drugs and parents might kick them out, invasion of privacy, scared of dogs

i don't agree with dogs sniffin drugs anywhere.
especially not in school. coked up rottweilers around small children is not a good idea....
