it think you should go up to him one day and say "i need to talk to you about something...i like you more than a friend and i was wondering if you felt the same way. So...do you like me like that or not, cuz i want to know...will you go out /w me?

Just ask him if he wants to come over and when he gets there have dinner made and take it from there he will get the idea. To make it better I guess send a formal invitation, he will think its weird at first, but not for long!

first and most important thing to do, ask him face to face. don't be a coward and ask him over phone, email, or text.
but before that, make sure both of you are in a deep conversation of something then quietly turn the subject into a bf/gf or love topic. if you play your cards right, you get the guy. good luck!
