Read the book and visit the site below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair. Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt are all that is needed. Then spread conditioner on outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. It is also important to use gel on wet hair and scrunch the hair. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the website. Good luck!

if your hair is dry frizzy and 2 greasy like this one girl i hang out with then, start using shampoos like pantene pro v and rub it in for at least 1 minute and leave the conditioner in for 2 then wash it out then dont use spray or anything unless its a hair style .then brush it 10 times on each side of yor head then shower in the morning so ur hair wont be frizzy and messy while u sleep!

You need a lighter conditioner, rinse REALLY well. Only shampoo every other day, but condition ever day. Do not blow dry your hair. Let it air dry, and spritz some olive oil spray in there. Comb it through while your hair is still wet and again when it dries.

use shampoo for dry hair, like Sunsilk, and make sure you rinse all of ur conditioner out (or it will look greasy). dont use a blow dryer, let it air dry and put frizz control in it. shampoo ur hair every day, but only use conditioner every other day, or it will get greasy... this happens to me every time the weather changes...

Use Green tea oil. I get it @ Sally's Beauty Supply, and it really works. Try showering every other day, it will give your hair a break. Also alternate shampoo once a month- maybe use baby shampoo once, and return to your normal schedule.

I had this problem. Dont use conditioner, and use a lower setting on your blow dryer.
