The mexican government does not lack money. They recieve millions of dollars of aid each year. Who is to say that the Mexican Government would actually use the money to promote growth? Its easy to say that they will, but then do otherwise.

I think all of the things you just listed could be translated into one sentence: THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS THERE WOULD HAVE A HUUUUGE BONUS THIS COMING YEAR!!!!!
without a long-term, well put-together plan to make changes/improvement in the political, education and financial systems in Mexico, all the money will only go lining the pockets of those who already have money and power.

NO. A Resounding NO.
I am in favor of Amnesty For, and ONLY for people who have worked hard, want to learn English, want to assimilate, do not deal drugs, abuse welfare, steal identities or drive while drunk and Kill people.
They have a right to that Amnesty because what they have given (and will give us) IS STAYING HERE AND HELPING THE REST OF THE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY.
I argue with people about this all the time here but we absolutely AGREE that Mexico needs to get off it's *** and fix it's problems, the answer is NOT to send everyone here.
Your proposal would only give Mexico less incentive to do that, and due to the current level of corruption in their Government, it is doubtful the money would EVER be used for what you claim.

I hope you don't mean that we are supposed to pay for that. That wouldn't stop illegal immigration, and I think we've already paid and given up enough to their citizens. They already have the funds to take care of their own citizens anyway. If we sent the Mexican government money do you think they would use it to create opportunities for their citizens? I don't. They'd just keep sending them here.

They need to build their own country with their own money. If they don't have enough, too bad, they need to figure something else out without stealing more money from the United States. America has given too much money as it is to illegals. More than they give to my dying Mother! Tsk! Tsk!

Mexico does not lack money, the politicians steal it all. They could have a great infrastructure, jobs, etc, if they would quit stealing everything.
