You need to wait two weeks after a relaxer. But hightlighting really should be done by a professional. You could be in danger of melting your hair or seriously breaking it.

I would think that a caramel color would look rlly good w/dark brown hair, and it would also look good w/your complextion. I would'nt do it rite after you get a relaxer in your hair either.
*best of luck*

I would go with a caramel blondish color, not to light. As for the relaxer i am not to sure about that sorry.

Get red, auburn, copper, or carmel. I have dark brown hair too and im getting carmel. But my hair is probably lighter than yours. i would go with copper. But thats just me.

chunky orange/light brown. my friend has it and it looks awesome. shes light skinned tho. you might not want to relax your hair and just straighten it if you want the highlights. Thats a lot of chemicals in your hair and it might fall out.

try getting redish highlights instead of blonde. get some framing your face if you have layers and dont get them all the same size get some think highlights and thin ones and get the unevenly spaced it looks more natural... people's hair don't grow in stripes!
