Check out www.bnf.org. It lists all the creams, gels, liquids etc. that you can buy to use on it. Another is www.netdoctor.co.uk. You can help keeping your skin moisturised or avoiding things which you think may set it off. Try and work out what's causing it. You could try a different washing powder or detergent but I don't think that's the reason. Unfortunately it's gonna be trial and error for now! I get it occasionally and there are loads of creams you can buy on the market. You could probably get your GP to prescribe something for the time being. Depending on how severe it is will depend on what the dermatoligist will give you, maybe bath oil, tablets/capsules, if they don't work phototherapy. Sunshine is also good for getting rid of it. Another aspect which can bring it on is stress, it's when I get small patches of it occasionally but I've got a cream which gets rid of it in a couple of days! It's caused by the immune system being lowered which happens when you're feeling down or stressed. So happy thoughts! If you have it on your face you can use make up to cover it but use ones which aren't going to irritate it, there are plenty on the market. If it's on your scalp you can buy a shampoo - polytar or polytar AF usually works quite well. One of the bath oils is called alphosyl which can be quite effective as well. All these preparations are on the BNF website, the ones with POM next to them are only available on prescription. Talk to your doctor or Pharmacist if you want some help. Psoriasis can be quite common and can be quite difficult to cope with for some people but you'll soon get it sorted. I work in Pharmacy and I see it in a lot of people every day!!! Hope this helps.

So..
A natural remedy you can try to cure your psoriasis is described here: http://psoriasis.toptips.org
Seeking relief from psoriasis can be a lifelong quest. You can search everywhere for the perfect cure and never quite find it. There are plenty of medications, creams, pastes, gels, and lotions out there, but they don’t always work and they can be pricy. It gets time consuming and expensive to dab a lotion all over the body two to three times a day or take a pill every day. Most people just want something that is quick, simple, cheap, and works.
There are actually some things you can start doing for yourself that might help with psoriasis and slow down the onset of another outbreak. Things you can change around the house or personally, that don’t cost you an extra cent.
As I said above a good site where you can find many interesting tips is: http://psoriasis.toptips.org
Cheers.

I have had it since the age of 9---many years now. There is not an external cure for it. When I would get PG it would be gone in two weeks, after the baby was 2 weeks old it was right back. You should avoid alcohol, fatty foods, meat, except for turkey breast. The only thing I ever found that would stop it was a cortisone shot for arthritis--not authorized for psoriasis. any cortisone ointment will help a bit but it has to do with how your body handles amino acids. You can live with it, I used to be covered, now it just flares in red round spots and then lasts a couple weeks and goes away. Sun burning yourself will help but I wonder if it is worth it. There are clinics here that are just for psoriasis, I called and asked for a general description of the treatments---the same they were 40 years ago.

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/CurepsoriasisEuq8 everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

Psoriasis is a disease that takes place when the body’s immune system mistakenly believes healthy skin cells to be enemy cells and starts to produce many more new cells to replace these cells. This is the reason why there is no cure for psoriasis and medications applied to treat psoriasis are only able to remove the symptoms temporarily. Don't go the "cream route", it's only just a waste of time and money. Been there Done that!
You need to read "Psoriasis Free For Life" by Katy Wilson if you want to cure your psoriasis for good. Available online also @ http://www.psoriasisforeverfree.com It's a book that shows you how to cure psoriasis naturally in a few days. I cured my psoriasis permanently in 6 days after reading this book. Good luck!

Ive suffered a bit over the years.
I can tell you one fantastic bit of advice.
There is no easy cure.In the u.k.
But the good news is there is an easy cure abroard.
Ive found the cure.
Leave the u.k. and go to a country that is hot and sticky like thailand.Nobody there has skin problems or dandruff.
In about 2 weeks dandruff(GONE)
one other thing.
Dead sea salt does work wonders on all types of skin conditions.try it.Thats the best thing you can do in the u.k.
But i am right about going abroard.
Its the hard water over here.
Did you know a kettle will last for 20 years in other countrys.
How long will they last here in out hard water. 1 year.
Skin problems(Gone)
Its the soft water and climate.FACT.
Also try and loose weight if you are overweight.
When i think of the money people spend on creams in the u.k.
They help ofcourse but not a permanent solution.
ITs this country.Im afraid.

You really need to try Melaleuca...The Wellness Company products. You would want to try the Gold bar which is a soap then also the dermacort which is for itching and the Renew Intensive Skin Therapy Lotion. These are all guaranteed money back and the Company is 26 year old company and one of Intrigrity. If you dont know anyone then check it out at the website or contact me...but I dont know it thats allowed on here. But definitely check out these products. Also they have laundry soap and also health supplements that can help too. They are top of the line but VERy reasonable priced. I am very confident that these products will help you as they have many! I wish you relief.
The company website is: www.melaleuca.com

I've read that apple cider vinegar works wonders. About a half and half mixture of water and standard vinager in a small bottle perhaps at bedtime before a shower and then a good shower in the morning to avoid any vinegary smell in the daytime.
You might even try a spray bottle and be tempted to leave it on all night.
Some people who've had this type of condition for years recount that this is a mircle cure.

There doesn't seem to be a lot you can do to avoid outbreaks. You'll get advice but it is my experiance that nothing works. The only thing to do is keep your stress levels down and stay calm.. If you are in the UK you will probably be put on a medicine. Ask for Dovobet for the bad areas, it clears mine within two days.
Bathe every day in genuine Dead Sea Salts, they work wonders. Don't wipe yourself dry, just pat the main wetness and let yourself air dry.
