Not in any language that humans could understand or find to be of interest. Animals talk to others of their own species, of course, although the messages are mostly of the form: I want sex! The Adam and Eve tale is fiction.

Well, it was a Serpent (with Legs) and it was Possessed by an OutLaw Angel Spirit, satan.
But, animals do Communicate.
Yes, they have Souls (not Quite like ours).
If you Know how to Communicate in Their Language, you can Talk to Them.
Remember when Jesus Told Peter to Go Fishing and Take the Gold Coin outta the First Fishe's mouth?
Now, who Told that Fish to go Pick Up that Gold Coin off'n the Bottom of the Ocean AnyWay?
Guess Who!
Jesus.
What a GOD!
Hope this Helps!
Ditto..............
p.s. Hey, I'm not full of it! The Navy is using Dolphins right now, They put Cameras on them and send them on Missions.
Probably put laser Cannons on'em Too! If they weren't so Heavy! (Hehehe!)

Adam and Eve is a symbolic story of good vs. evil.....the snake is a metaphor for hatred/evil. So, no, I don't think snakes spoke human language, but they probably always talked "snake" languages with hisses....

Ive seen a few asses talk. Seriously I don't know if genesis is supposed to be literally taken or alegorical however it doesn't seem like it would be such a difficult task for God if he created the universe and everything in it to do anything. Who knows maybe satan was doing his ventrilquist act. By the way did I mention I knew a guy who was a fartriloquist. Yes he use to try and use me to vent his gasses. he was pretty good at it to, believe me he fooled alot of people.

Animals do not have the vocal structures to "talk" like we do. They lack the pharynx and epiglottis, and also the large developed areas of the brain necessary for communication.
However, they do communicate in other ways through combinations of other noises and body language, etc.

In many stories of myth animals do incredible things that would never happen in reality. I guess the creators of these myths go by the addage if you're going to tell a fish story tell a whopper!

Actually, animals do have languages, just not ones that many humans can understand.
The language of prairie dogs has been partially decrypted by computer though. They even have a word for "human."

Animals still talk, but one must know how to listen. The moth has a story to tell, it is a story of life, can you listen?

If you're the first two humans on a brand new world, I doubt you'd be that surprised at anything. You wouldn't know enough to be surprised.
