There is nothing wrong with being shy, nor is there anything wrong with not really being girly. Often times guys are shy as well. It all really depends on what the guy's preferences are. A not really girly girl might want to play tennis or go hike instead of getting their nails done (not saying thats all what girly girls do).

Sorry I'm not a guy, but I've been that girl, it's hard for shy girls and guys, and as for her not being girly, maybe going out with her will make her be girly. She may just need that boost of confidence that someone wants to go out with her.

Yes. The "perfect" girl is a myth. If you get a girly one who can work a room, maybe it will turn out that she is histrionic or high maintanance. If you have a perfect connection with an imperfect person, that's as good as it gets.

aw come on, the great thing about shy girls is that they ARE girly =P but I guess it depends on the rest of you, I've dated the odd Tom boyish girl, and it was alot of fun. But as a rule you'd have to impress me quite a bit, I like my ladies to be lady like and elegant.

I like girls who are sporty when they want to be and can rock a skirt when she wants to. and besides when a girl is shy that just means she needs someone to help her lightnen up and be open.
