Before going to Italy I want 2 squeeze in 2 nights in Paris. Is it worth it? Can I see much in two days in Paris? Or should I just spend a longer time in Italy (7 days rather than 5 days)? Also is capsicum spray illegal to carry in France and Italy? And is one country safer than the other? Two friends told me they got stalked in Rome when they were with there family. Also do you have any tips when traveling in Italy and Paris? What do you find most helpful when paying for goods over there? Credit card travellers check, exchanging cash? Any help would be most appreciated. :)

Well i just went to itay this past time and had a great time..i defenetly think that you should spend more time in Italy it would e so worth it. Usually just in one city you would need two days just to be able to enjoy it fully. Um i was in France for a while but i would not trade in for Italy. Also i think that exchanghing cash is easier and better also exchange as much as you can that way you don't have to worry about not having cash also. Also when roming the city and towns keep your bags and items close to you..so you won't get robbed...even though a fanny pack is the worst fashion mistake ever it really helps...just remember at all times keep your eyes on your stuff. If you plan to visit any museums make a reservation in advance.
Have fun on your trip!!!!!!!! :)
If you still haven't bought plane ticket check out www.catrachotravel.com that where i bught my ticket to Italy and i found really good prices for airline tickets

Paris is a Beautiful City it is always worthwhile stopping of to see it even if its only Two Days. It depends when you arrive in Paris, if you manage to get there early in the morning and get to youre Hotel early Enough then you can get out and about exploring and you have the whole Day to do it in. Most People arrive at Noon , and when they get into the City and get checked in to Hotel they will be lucky if its not 3 - 4 PM so Half the Day is wasted. You can get a Paris Visite Carte and an Mussee Carte to cover you for the Metro and Museums for the two DAys. You have the Eiffel Tower and Mussee D,Orsay, The Louvre which is Huge. The Arch De Triumph, The Hotel Invalides Napoleons Catafalque is down in the Basement under The Dome of the Church. It is Massive He is Buried inside I think six Coffins and the whole thing is about 15 Feet High by 15 long. You might have time to go to Printemps and the Galleries La Fayette the two Huge Department Stores of Paris which has everything from Top ranges like Dolce & Gabbana Louis Vuitton Etc to more Affordable Attire. The Galleries La Fayette is on Bouelevard Hausseman and Rue LaFayette and Printemps is not Far just a couple of Streets away. I never had Problems in Paris but there is always the Possibility of getting Pickpocketed. The American Express Office is at the side of and facing Opera Garnier for changing youre Travellers Cheques and foreign Currency. I had Travellers Cheques I cant give you Information on Credit Cards but dosent seem to be a Problem with them in major outlets, it might be wise to have cash as well and Travellers Cheques to change into Cash small shops and taxi Drivers dont take Credit Cards. Italy is Beautiful anywhere in it again you have to watch out for Thieves mind youre Passport especially and money. My Camera Bag was robbed in Rome A Nikon FM2 with a couple of Lenses, I had Prescription Sunglasses on me and i left my Spectacles in the Camera Bag so I was left with Sunglasses to see by . I was Resting by the Tiber under some Trees and a car stopped one Guy got out abd asked for directions and kept walking away a few yards when he was gone i looked around the bag was gone and the Car I ran after the other Fellow but he was able to get away but anyway he had not the bag it was the other person in the Car. It is up to you whether you stop off in Paris it depends if youre going to go to France Another Time or Not. Bon Chance et Bon Visite.

If you have an interest in Paris then definitely go!

You can probably buy pepper spray or something like it in Europe, but don't quote me on this. I just go and have a good time.

Take a credit card a little cash. You can use a credit card almost everywhere.

Make a photo copy of the credit card before you leave so if it is stolen... you know have the 800 number to call the bank and the card number. Keep this locked up at all times or in your other pocket. Don't keep you credit card and id in your wallet... at least I don't. I just keep them in my front pocket.

If you take a camera or anything else... guard it at all times or plan for it to be stolen. There are professionals, sometimes in groups, just looking for their next victim on vacation. Most people are nice and helpful but it only takes 1 or 2 to make for a bad day.

Be cool, don't act foolish, use your good judgement and don't drink to much or you'll pay the price.

Have a great trip, take plenty of pictures and you'll remember your journey for the rest of your life.

Good luck!

Well, I can answer one of your questions. In Italy, pepper spray is considered a self-defence weapon and is legal to own. The active principle must be less than 10%. Spray made with CS is illegal.

I don't know about France.
