There is this guy at my school that i really like and everybody has told me he liked me too and we flirt all the time and today at the courtyard he asked me if i liked him and he said it in a bad way like i hope she doesn't sort of way and all of his friends were around so i said no but then he got all sad and everybody told me that he was going to ask me out if i said i liked him but i said no only because i didnt want to embarrass myself so now what do i do i really like him???

If I were you I would pull him aside tomorrow and tell him that you do like him. Tell him that you only said no because you felt you were put on the spot and felt uncomfortable expressing your interest in front of all of his friends. Just be honest and I think that things will work to your advantage.
