Smoking effects your lungs making it harder to breath later on in life (that's why smokers cough so much) and cigarettes have tar in them which is what gets in your lungs
Benefits from not smoking. 1) you dont smell like smoke all the time 2) your teeth dont turn yellow as easy 3) people like you more 4) you will live longer 5)less likely to get a heart attack 6) normal blood pressure
So i suggest you quit smoking ASAP
oh yea,
Louis Armstrong, Nat "King" Cole, Sammy Davis Jr, and Walt Disney all DIED from smoking.

My dad has been been smoking when he was 21 now he in his 60s and still he smoke, and he are making us me and my mum second smoker, and that is bad for our health, to in hale a smoke is no good and to in hale a stale smoke is worse.
Smoking is an additive, and do u know every puff u take u closer to death? U will depend on them when u are stress, when u feel tired when u want an idea, actually,almost every thing u will turn to smoking, and smoking make look older.
Smoking is will blocked up the wind pipe ,destroy yr lung and then will clod up ur brain, make and u might have a stoke. U even smell like one, the smoke and that make u stink.
The reason is why smoke in the first place if u don't need it?

it is hard becuase i'm sure u have heard your body has become accustomed to it. and dependant on it.
here's a interesting fact for u...did u know that smokers produce ONE MORE LITER OF PHLEGM per day in their lungs than non smokers?? a liter!!! thats half a 2 liter soda bottle.... yes if u spit into the bottle until u filled it up halfway thats a liter!!! your body does this becuz the smoke is considered toxic to the lungs and body. just like if u had a bad chest cold/flu the phlegm surrounds and binds in wads to the toxin organism. kinda like a gang tackle in football. and holds it till u either spit it up or the organism dies.
anyway more stats for u. smoking since toxic raises your blood pressure, they will say if it relaxes u it will lower it.... bolonga! some runners say running relaxes them...but it raises their bp tooo (but in a good way!). it raises the pressure in your lungs becuz the vessles are irritated when they come in contact with the smoke. thats not good. thats what leads to the lung cancers, the chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, the emphysemas...bascially damaged breathing capacities over time. today u could probably run a mile. in a year maybe no. in 10 years maybe u get tired walking a block and have to rest.... all related.
i cant tell u how to stop. i hear the patches work well. but its hard to know its bad for u when i go to work and see 4-5 cardiologists out for a cigarette break everyday!

well first of all you will have a longer life. and u will have a lower risk of getting lung cancer. also you will not smell like smoke all the time and have a bad reputation of smoking. you wont influence other people to do it like your kids when their older and start getting into peer pressure. trying to quit smoking is a very hard thing to do. i would try to cut down at least one a day for a week then two then three and so on. or if your that good you could just stop cold turkey. meaning stop right now and never again. which is very hard because being addicted to something is very hard to stop.

My mother smoked for years. About 7 years ago she started coughing up blood from the lungs. An x-ray showed the beginning of emphezema and she had a ruptured vein in the lung. She was told if she didn't quit she would die of emphezema and lung disease. And it isn't a good way to die, you literally sufficate to death. She did quit and is doing great, but it will eventually take its toll on your health and body and it won't be pleasant. So, good luck, I hope you find the strength to quit. It is hard right now, but you can do it!!!

Well for starters it has bad chemicals like:
* Nicotine: a deadly poison
* Arsenic: used in rat poison
* Methane: a component of rocket fuel
* Ammonia: found in floor cleaner
* Cadmium: used in batteries
* Carbon Monoxide: part of car exhaust
* Formaldehyde: used to preserve body tissue
* Butane: lighter fluid
* Hydrogen Cyanide: the poison used in gas chambers
Next smoking can make your body look different in these ways:
* Smoking makes you smell bad, gives you wrinkles, stains your teeth, and gives you bad breath.
* Smokers get 3 times more cavities than non-smokers.
* Smoking lowers your hormone levels.
* When smokers catch a cold, they are more likely than non-smokers to have a cough that lasts a long time. They are also more likely than non-smokers to get bronchitis and pneumonia.
Why do u like to smoke?:
Nicotine can make you feel good, but is feeling good (a feeling you can also get from healthy activities like playing sports) really worth all the bad things cigarettes do to you? If you smoke, you'll get sick more often. You also have the chance of getting lung cancer or emphysema, which will make you really sick for a long time before you die. If you are very sick, that good feeling from nicotine won't seem so important anymore.
I hope this helps you quit and relise how bad smoking is!

I wish I could show you a picture of my father who died of lung cancer last year. He used to be such a strong and healthy guy and was pitimized to a shrunken skinny old man who looked as if he had aged 30 years in 3 months. Not to mention the chemo treatments, he had sores in his mouth and could not eat or drink. He died 4 days after receiving chemo treatments. Your lungs start to heel themselves after quitting and you will feel healthier if you start to exercise. You should be proud of yourself for quitting, it takes alot of will power.

You can get so many disease. You could be killing yourself let alone others. You're wasting money on something thats killing you. And by quiting you could still get diseases but you have less of a chance since you quit. You won't kill others (secondhand smoke). You won't be wasting your money anymore!
