Most of the time girls are too shy to ask themselves and the fact that she is friends with you and has been for a long time is probably a hint that she likes you. I would ask her just like you would ask any other girl, and be sure to explain that if she says no that you still want to be good friends. Girls don't like to be pressured. But I wouldn't ask her over a text message, or phone call, or through a friend, an in person ask out is so much more charming for the girl and it lets her know that the guy is not too shy to show attention to her around his friends or family.

It depends on what grade you're in now.....if you've been friends for years and years, then being "just friends" is sometimes best. If you try and date her, you might end up loosing her friendship or not being as close as you were. You need to decide if you'd like to be her "best friend", her "boyfriend", or maybe even an "acquaintance". If the relationship doesn't work out, you can pretty much bet you'll be an acquaintance from then on unless she's real forgiving or the relationship end is mutual. Being friends for a few months and asking out isn't bad, but being friends for years and asking out is a whole new situation.......Just be careful!!! If you're comfortable, I would talk with your closest friend and maybe even your family (sometimes your family knows more about you than you do and can tell if a relationship will make it or not - trust me, I found out from experience.)

I have this guy friend named Koki. I'm still in the 5th grade though. anyway koki told me one day that he liked me. We went out for two weeks then a new girl named Nikki. He started liking her instead. We are still best freinds but i know that he still likes me. If i were you i would just tell her instead of keeping all inside.

Dating people you knew as friends sometimes can be like going through a door that locks behind you. You can't just go back to being friends again. Hopefully it works out.

I know it may be hard, but you just have to let your feelings be known...this sounds like the perfect romance to me, you fall for your best friend, and she falls for you. Either she likes you or she doesnt, but you can let that get in the way of what you want.
