Maybe they have too much salivia? I think it is nasty. You do not see women spitting so much. So is it different for them.

Spitting can be considered 'manly' and some guys do it just to make themselves look rougher and tougher. Some do it for no reason other than it's fun, or for various other reasons.

It is kind of like a habit you get into- to the point that you may not even realize you are doing it- it's not a physically caused thing in most cases.

Spitting makes us look ugly. We won't do things that make us look ugly. The act of spitting causes our face to contort like a gargoyle.........yuks!!!!

I dunno the background of it, but I know my boyfriend does it al the time and it grosses me out. Maybe its just a manly thing. I wouldn't even know how to spit like they do if I wanted to.
