Sounds great, but, honestly, there are millions of dogs in the USA that are in need of good homes. Adopt a dog when you return to the states.

Not sure what you need to transport the pup. But I do understand the the United States has a 6 month quarantine period.

You may want to check before you bring puppy over. My opinion is that it's cruel to leave you dog there for 6 months.

If the quarantine period is 6 months I suggest you leave her in Israel with someone you trust and get a new pup here. There are a lot in the animal rescue that need love to.

You are going to have to check with customs at the airport now. Ususally, taking animals oversees takes about a week to 2 weeks to do. You have to get a statement from a vet saying the dog is healthy ( a health certificate). That has to be sent to wherer you are going and get a seal of approval. Also, once it gets to the USA it will probably have to be quarantined. Do you know ift puppy was well bred? Is it healthy? Do you know anything about it? There are plenty healty puppies in the USA that need homes as well if you can't get this one.

I think that the dog would be in quarantine or something like that for 6 months before it can enter the country. Check with the airline maybe they will be able to tell you exactly what you can do.
