I am not looking for a relationship of any kind right now in my life. I work full time and go to school. But I like to make new friends and I can be a bit of a tomboy so I usually have guy friends. For some reason whenever I tell a guy that I don’t want a boyfriend they act real cool for a while then they start to get weird and stop talking to me. When I ask them why they quit talking to me they always say it was because they thought that I wanted a relationship and they didn’t want me to get the wrong idea.

I am very confused by this and I have analyzed my behavior over and over to see if I was doing something nonverbal that made them think I wanted something more and I can’t figure it out. I don’t get “touchy feely” … I just don’t flirt period. I act like one of the guys. This has happened to me more than once. Are guys opposed to having friends that are girls? Or am I really giving them bedroom eyes and I don’t know it.

Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do?!?!

Men think about sex all the time, having a "girl" friend means double the effort to control ourselves. Like you say, after a while guys realize nothing will happen and move on to a girl who does want to have sex.

To us, a LTR means spending time, lots of time together before getting intimate.

I don't really understand why you say "I am not looking for a relationship of any kind right now in my life." and expect to get a friend????

You are a girl. Most guys, if they can't get you hoizontal, they will usually lose interest.
