I was raised as a Christian, up until I moved when I was in 4th grade, after my family moved we stopped going to church, my parents got divorced, and things pretty much went down hill from there :( My life isn't terrible or anything, but I feel like something is missing, and lately I have had a really strange urge to read the bible even though I haven't in about 11 years. So can anyone tell me how I can be a Christian please ?

Other Information:
-I am 21
-I haven't been to church in about 10 or 11 years
-I was never baptised, my parents planned on getting me baptised but never got around to it :(
-I am a virgin, if that counts for anything ??

Thank You for your help :)

*First you need to repent(,that means feel sorry
for the wrong you have done or are doing, turn from it and turn to God)Invite God into your life and your heart*accept and believe that Jesus died for your sins.*admit that you are a sinner and have fell short*second, rid your self of anything or anyone who tempts you to do wrong
(do not surround your self with sinful people)I*Join a good bible based church you need this for guidance.*Pray often and read your bible any time you have a chance(I suggest starting with the new testament) It may sound hard but your reward is Heaven.I think it is wonderful that you are a virgin when you get married you will give that gift to your husband and it is a beautiful feeling. As soon as you feel ready you can get baptized, that is your public proclamation that you are a follower of Christ.

This is wonderful!!! Welcome home!
Just ask Jesus into your life, ask forgiveness and start reading girl!
You may want to find a church you feel at home at so you can connect with other Christians your age.
Good Luck and God Bless!

(oh and "purpose Driven" churches are great for young people)
And maybe pick up some Beth More books or Tapes!

You can take all those things that you listed and set them aside for a bit.

A Christian is a Christian because he or she trusts God through Jesus Christ. The Bible is the text source that we use to find out how God works and thinks. So we believe in the resurrection of Jesus the Christ, and tell God that we are a sinner.

If you want to come to God-- that's Him leading you. You cannot want to come to God if He is not leading you to Him.

You are going to have even more questions about this, that is to be expected. If what I said to you makes any sense, you can e-mail me or go to factoropinion.net and I am known as KingReef there.

be born again. that's the only way.
-accept Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and God
-repent
-know Jesus is the only way

baptism is supposed to be the next step. technically, you can be baptized in a public pool (shallow end to be safe!), as that's what baptism is: making a definite (often public) decision to "die' to sin (let it go) and live for Christ. you also could get an interesting and inspirational baptism story...

you could seek out a church if you wish. If that's basically impossible, try just assembling (even online if neccessary) with other Christians. the word Christ used for church is eklesia, which is essentially a gathering of God's people.

Well that's just awesome that you want to become a christian again :] First you need to ask Jesus into your heart.

"Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

And read the Bible everyday and sooner or later get Baptised. :] and Pray to God everyday. Doesn't matter how long it is. and you don't have to go to church but if you want to go ahead :] there ya go!

If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and died for you sins. Having rose on the third day for your salvation, then you are saved. Now find a Church and start studying the Word of God. You will be fine. God has been calling you. That's why you felt as if something was missing in your life!
God Bless You! Keep your Faith!

What really matters is that you feel the desire to become a Christian. That is actually the Holy Spirit placing that desire in your heart. Jesus tells us that anyone who calls on His name He will in no wise cast out. You need to remember this fact that once you pray for Jesus to forgive you and to come into your heart, He will and He will stay with you. Just ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins and that you want to leave for Him. Then remember to pray often and read your Bible. I can give you a good website for Bible study www.ttb.org this is a fellow called Dr. J. Vernon McGee, his program is on the radio or online. Right now he is in the Gospel of John and very good one to know, for a new Christian. God Bless and welcome to the family.

Why cant yahoo be filled with people like you instead of "man youre dumb to believe in God" people?

Well God bless because I had all the same things happen to me! Your premonition was dead on, you should read the 1st 5 books of the Old Testament, then read the NT.

Afterwards in order to become a Christian, you need to...

1. Repent of your sins (past, present, and future)
2. Accept Jesus as Lord and savior.
3. Be baptized in his name. (emmersed)
4. Live faithfully serving him doing what Jesus said to do!

It sounds like you are about to rediscover God and I very much envy you. Those were really exciting times! Just dont let Satan ruin it for you because he WILL try!

Ephesians 4:5 One faith, one Lord, one baptism.

God's church is on the earth today. Lead by a prophet. The same as the primitive church. The same church Jesus Christ established.

Pray to Heavenly Father and ask Him with a sincere heart to guide you to His true church. Pray with real intent, nothing wavering. In other words pray with the intention to act on the answer you get.

Read the King James Version of the Bible. Faith is like a seed. A gift from God. Take it, Be thankful for it, then plant it, water it and feed it. If it's a good seed it will grow and swell in your heart. Take a step of faith.

Start changing anything in your life that makes you feel like you're doing something wrong. Ask for forgiveness through the atonment of Jesus Christ.

Make sure you investigate any church you find and join the one that is most correct. And make sure you don't listen to those who want to do anything they can to tear down peoples faith. You virginity is a good thing, you have saved that precious part of you for your future partner in marriage and will be blessed for it. Plus you won't have any regrets in this area later in life.

Read the book of Mormon and find out for yourself through sincere prayer if it's true. I testify that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's Church restored through Joseph Smith. A prophet of God who was martyred by unbelievers. I don't only be live these things. I KNOW them for myself and you can too. You loving Father in Heaven has promised it.

Ask Jesus into your heart and repent of your sins...both the ones you committed knowing and unknowingly.

Begin reading your Bible daily (the book of John ((4th book of the NT, is a great place to start)), pray. Don't just be a person that prays but be a playerful person...include praise (www.klove.com) and worship in your daily life...and you'll be well on your way.

Understand...none of us have arrived...but are striving to be more like Christ.

Peace be with you.
