My drive to work 5 days a week is all highway, about 18 miles up I17 in Phoenix ... and this week I noticed some new billboards ... there was MacDonalds, Chevy, AT&T, BurgerKing, ... and God ... yes God ... I noticed 2 on my drive, one sign said "are you lost, all the answers are in my book ~God" the other said "why live a lifetime, when you can have eternity ~God" ... My question goes to followers of God ... are you embarrased by this marketing ploy? I don't know that i've ever seen another religeon hard sell like that before ... and my second question is, How can they just make up quotes like that and put God's name on it? Does that bother you?

Sorry if you zelots missed the question, like one of you answered it (no way! he said) ... but you must know it just makes you look foolish, I guess I'm a little surprised ... you really dont care what the message is, as long as it gets out there ... do you ... ?

let me try making one up to see if it's fun

"We may be oblivous, but we act like we're really happy" ~God

i LOVE the idea! and those billboards accomplished their meaning already in at least one person, you. those billoards got you thinking about God, didnt they? They got you thinking about life, about your life. and thats why they were put there.
does it embarrass me? no way! i might even use these quotes when i go out and witness to the lost.
does it bother me that God's name is on it? not at all! for anyone who has read God's word and knows who God is would agree that such a thing God would say.

look upon those billboards every day and think about what God is saying to you.

blesses upon you my friend.

Isnt that what the bible is in the end, a bunch of christian, saying that that is the word of God, it like the billboards are all just marketing, to spread what they want you to believe the truth is, God never said what is said in the bible and he never said whats on the billboards, its all humams, those billboards (which i assume everybody knows are not quotes from the bible) proves that people invented gods word, he never said anthying becasue he is not real, religionous power = overall power, power is all its about.

I think it was rather ingenious and evidentally made an impression. You are also spreading HIS Message thru this question. Even though you really didn't mean to. I saw one of these signs about a year ago somewhere in Kentucky or Ohio while I was driving thru that area. Have a great evening and a wonderful week!

God and Jesus are two seperate entities, although it was probably a Christian sponsor trying to sell the concept of God.

Don't take it as a marketing ploy. Just take as a reminder, reminding you of god for a minute.
