I certainly appreciate the desire for cremation for a nmber of reason. I hate to say I vew much of the funeral industry as an expensive cost to burden a grieving family with when they already have enough to be pre-occupied with. My dadalways said when he dies he wants to be creamted and his service the next day his reason being he didn't wantto hang around and cause people grief. Fod a serious answer I like the one who said simply that they loved. I also like the idea of putting some kind of gospel message as a last attempt to reach out. Anyhow Im leving this to the voters to pick their favourite. Thanks all.

I always thought that it should say what your loved ones want it to say. In other words, I am not so sure that I should write it, or that I should have much input on it. I would like it to mention the time and place of my birth and death, the cause of my death, and perhaps any notable accomplishments (not to brag, just historical references). I would hope that any messages that I would leave to the future would be written into history rather than on my tombstone.
If you are really asking "what one message would you leave to everyone concerning your own death", then I guess it would be along the lines of, "Safe at home in God's Love."

I wish to be cremated as it shows ultimate faith that God will restore me on Resurrection Morning. (Thessalonians)
I know what it says on the atheist's tombstone....All dressed up and no place to go. My friend wants to be buried upside down and shallow so he can be used as a bike rack. lol He is so funny sometimes...
If I had a tombstone I would hope it would say She loved butterflies, flowers, and all of God's creatures and was a blessing to all that she met. Man that is long huh. Actually I was concerned about what would be written in my obituary as I have not done anything spectacular in life. My daughter looked at me and said it would say, "She Loved". Isn't she just too sweet. Mmm

Dear Edward,
As others have said I want to be cremated.
Why should some of the most beautiful land be used for the dead rather than the living.
Rather than having anything printed on a tombstone I hope that the memory of me will be printed on the hearts of family and friends -
"She was a beloved child of her heavenly Father."
And how about you?
Edit: I see that you answered this already, I just didn't understand it until I reread your comments. Sorry.

I would rather be cremated. No need to waste space on the dead that could be enjoyed by the living. Just my opinion. Besides, my family won't have to travel from freakin everywhere to "visit" me.
Oh, Ok... I hope it could truthfully say that I left the world better than I found it.

Having a great time, wish you were HERE! :-)
(most who know me would know that means in Heaven and I have already planned a memorial service too. Not that I'm planning on dying but just in case)
