That's a tough one, I think they want to tell the truth, but they wouldn't want to hurt your feelings either if they didn't like it.
Here's what to do, get a girlfriend, relative, someone from church, anyone you think will do it, to come over and try your new cooking! Tell them to be completely honest with you about what needs improvement, if anything.
Most people would be glad to give you their opinion on your cooking, especially if the dinner is free!
Good luck!

Im not sure.. but I think they will lie. Any girl will lie to guy when he worked on something, you dont want to make him feel bad. It could be the same way for guys and cooking.
Try offering you friends, and family what you cook, ask them waht think of your food. You know, family and friends give you advice on this, and they wont lie about it.
But my parents were married for 17 years now, and my dad always told my mom, if there was something wrong with her cooking from the start. I guess it depends on the guy.

Some will , others won't. Depends on the relationship . As long as they like eating the foods and its not over or under cooked , you shouldn't have any problems .

Where DATES are concerned, my experience is that they will usually be polite and say something like, 'Yeah, it's good'. But, you'll notice a lack of enthusiasm in the response, like Jessica stated. Most guys really like to eat and they're not shy about accepting a second helping of something if it's offered and they really like it. I think it's reasonable to expect a guy to say something like, 'Wow! This is really good!' if they REALLY like it.
So, I think you'll be able to tell by their enthusiasm, or lack of it, what they really think.

If it does taste bad, most guys will probably try and be nice and say they like it, but you can usually tell if they mean it or not.

most men prob will say its good. That does not mean they are not being honest. Be your own food critic . Just be honest to yourself.
