Pentecost is right for me because I know God is there. I can feel his presence. God revealed to me who He is. He saved me by His grace, and set my feet on the solid rock.
I can find everything that my Pastor preaches in the Holy Scripture. I don't have to wonder if what he is preaching is right, or guess where he got it from, because its scripture.

Actually "Pentecostal" refers to Acts 2 where we read about the Holy Ghost (or Spirit - same thing) being poured out for the first time. This experience is still for believers today and the experience is not confined to churches with "Pentecostal" on the sign. Read more about this in Acts 8, 10, 11, and 19.

Pentecostals believe that one must be saved by believing in Jesus as Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of sins and to be made acceptable to God. Pentecostals also typically believe, like most other evangelicals, that the Bible has definitive authority in matters of faith.
Because many Pentecostal denominations are descended from Methodism and the Methodist Holiness Movement, Pentecostal soteriology is generally Arminian rather than Calvinist, believing that the ability to believe in Jesus is a power of the human free will.
This is in fact one of the distinctions that separates Pentecostal traditions from those of the Second Wave Charismatic and Evangelical churches which tend toward a Calvinistic soteriology.
Most major Pentecostal denominations reject any connection between personal salvation or conversion and the baptism in the Holy Spirit and teach that it is not necessary for salvation, but a gift from God available to all Christians regardless of denominational affiliation. This doctrine was a development of the teachings of Stephen Galbraith regarding what he called the Third Moment of Grace and as such is linked to soteriology. However, some Pentecostal denominations regard such scriptures as Rom. 8:9, John 3:5, and Acts 2:37-39 as pointing to the necessity of Holy Spirit baptism to salvation. Many early Pentecostals believed that the revival of the gifts of the Spirit were a sign from God of the latter rain, a period of restoration before the end of the age and the coming millenial reign of Christ. Traditional Protestants believe that one is baptized with or in the Holy Spirit upon regeneration, the work of the Holy Spirit that enables faith and belief in the unbelieving heart. Pentecostals would not deny that regeneration is an activity of the Holy Spirit or that it results in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the believer. Instead they distinguish this indwelling from a subsequent, more intense relationship with the Holy Spirit.

A Me,
Pentecostal is a denomination of Christianity. Pentecostal is not a religion in and of itself.
Peace be with you.

My friend is Pentecostal and she belongs to a church that prohibits women from wearing pants or wear makeup. She wears pants regularly and I think she plans to use makeup. Her sisters do the same so I think they ignore the rules.

Because this is where God wants me to be. I am free to worship in Sign Language. And I like the freedom in the worship service and I really enjoy the pastors that I have and agree with their Biblical teaching.

Try not to think about God in donominations. There is only one God and only one way to access God and that is through Jesus Christ.
God is made of 3 persons. The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. All 3 added together is God, BUT each one by THEMSELVES is God.
Every HUMAN is a SPIRIT, we have a SOUL and we live in a physical BODY. You are a spirit, you have a soul and your spirit and soul are inside your physical body. (It is your spirit and soul that goes to heaven, not your physical body).
It is impossible to please God without faith. 2000 years ago God sent His only Son (LOOK TO THE FIRST PARAGRAPH TO REALISE WHO THE SON ACTUALLY IS) to die for the sins of the whole world. We ALL inherited sin from Adam when SATAN deceived Adam to sin in the Garden of Eden. AND on top of that we ALL sin everyday. (There would be no such thing as sin in the world if Satan did not exist).
In the eyes of God - we are FILTHY SINNERS because ON TOP of inheriting sin from ADAM, Satan CONTINUOUSLY DECEIVES the world to sin. So EVERYBODY in this world is FULL OF SIN. God HATES SIN.
NO FILTHY SINNER can get into heaven. This is why God kicked Lucifer (who is Satan) out of heaven - He was a sinner. But God made a way for us to clean ALL our sins away and get into Heaven.
2000 years ago, God sent His ONLY SON JESUS CHRIST to die, SPECIFICALLY for YOU in order to "purchase" your FILTHY sins so that ALL your sins will be taken away. THREE days later, God RAISED Jesus Christ from the dead and Jesus went to heaven taking with Him all your FILTHY sins.
It says in the Word of God:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
("Perish" in the above scripture means GO TO HELL).
THE ONE AND ONLY WAY to go to HEAVEN is to:
1. Say with you mouth and believe in your heart (your spirit) that Jesus Christ is your Lord and personal Saviour and that God raised Him from the dead taking away your sins.
2. Ask God to clean away your filth and take away ALL your sins.
When you do this by FAITH The Holy Spirit (LOOK TO THE FIRST PARAGRAPH TO REALISE WHO THE HOLY SPIRIT ACTUALLY IS) will LIVE inside your spirit and God will recognise you as one of His Children, and when you die you will go to Heaven.
