I do believe that Tony Blair is doing his damnedest to bring us to our knees.
His arrogance and selfishness has done nothing for the country in the last 2 years.
Any infrastructure has been torn down - and no-one has the will to fight any more - there are times that I feel more like the Jews must have done from 1933 onwards in Germany - Tony Blair has learned well from the 20 year plan scenario and how to break a nation.
Just remember all those who voted for Labour were hoodwinked as those who voted for Hitler... the outcomes are looking to be quite similar - will the war stop when 6,000,000 have died?
And what language will be spoken in the UK as a first language then?

it certainly seems so...what with the rise of extremism caused by problems with the Health Service, Education, high taxes, high prices...high cost of living.

And by the rise of extremism I'm not referring to Religious extremism (although like all right-thinking people I abhore what happened on 7th July in London), I am referring to the worrying rise in nationalism...I see evidence of this in some of the horrible, highly offensive answers here on YA.

Part of the problem that Britain has had since the 80's has been this idea of 'punching above our weight' on the world stage...of course it's nice to think that our forces are doing useful work for the Un, but can the country afford this...not ot mention Trident too (the cost of 500 schools!) - the high cost of this has to be taken from schools, education, law and order...

Thing is, there are a finite number of people earning money and paying taxes which can be used to pay for such things...

I think Britain needs to re-address this idea, perhaps draw back a little from the world stage (tho not completely), forge closer ties with the EU and our Commonwealth partners... to hopefully resolve more of our problems at home...

Although I am all in favour of multi-culturalism and immigration, I am concerned when I read about parents who cannot find school places for their children within a 10 mile journey from home in our inner cities and suburban areas.

I accept that it is a benefit to Britain and the British in the long term to increase our diversity, but I am worried about the problems this can cause, such as we have seen with an increase in racist attacks by those who blame others for their own failings.

So is Britain knackered? Good question ... not yet, but perhaps in the future if we don't consider very carefully the choices we make as a nation.

Its been knackered for years ! I live abroad and am appalled when the " Brits " come on holiday ! Fat, shaven heads, covered in tatoos, and the men aren't much better !
When we read a UK National newspaper, we can't believe the abuse and suffering that the older & decent people put up with ! Muggers, drunks, car thieves, dole cheats get away with fines & Community Service, and commit the same offences time & time again ! Trouble is now is that it's too late ! It will only get worse !

Obviously not all the immigrants desperate to come here.......
If you think Britain is knackered now you then you obviously weren't around in the 1970's. I was - and I can assure you that things are vastly better now. Then it was embarrassing to be British. We were the 'sick man of Europe'. That isn't true now.

Its alright is old blighty, it has its ups and downs. We are as wealthy now as any other time in history although not as happy. I believe that David Icke has a lot of interesting believes on the world and how its run and where its running too.

Alas we must keep our peckers up old boy, fight the good fight, stiffen up the old lip what, what.

Tea and a slice anyone?

totally, I had to leave. I'm in Spain now. I once heard someone say that the U.K was a third world country but it just won't admit it.
